sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2531239This sucks for him. Went down in practice and tore the pateller tendon in his knee. Hopefully he does not end up like Correll Buckhalter. Tore that thing twice, the second time nobody even touched him. Bentley is such a good center though. It sucks to see a guy of this caliber go down.

Sucks for Cleveland, cause now who's going to be under center? Went from a good center in Jeff Faine to a great one in Bentley, but traded Faine to New Orleans and now Bentley gets hurt and your stuck with nobody. If anything this is terrible news for Charlie Frye, already inexperienced enough now he's going to have to get comfortable with a new man at center.

Faine had the funniest looking head... why would you ever get rid of a guy that was just so damn funny looking...

The Browns splurged this off-season and got loads of talent but didnt fix the need at Quarterback. I projected them at a 6-10 season, and now it's clear they wont be any better, because they dont even have a guy to give the ball to Frye for him to mess it up.
Bentelys a trooper though, so he'll be back...

I also had them at 6-10 despite hearing people with huge boners for Charlie Frye predict a 9-7 season. Cleveland fans are very, very nieve people. I guess that's why I bet on the Browns with my boss, whom I have yet to lose to and have predicted the correct record 2 of the last 3 years.

You can't blame the Browns for not getting a quarterback. They drafted him and it is only his second year. NFL teams give players a few seasons before they label them a bust. It won't be a great season and 9-7 was out there, but down the road I would not be surprised to see the Browns have a season like that.

Down the road they can be great...
Just not with Charlie Frye. He's too much like every other bust you ever hear about. You cant tell me he's better than Couch, and you all know what happened to him. Today, its about leadership and experience. They will need to bring in an older guy to finish the job.
except Dilfer lol

Coming from a Cleveland fan for my whole life, this is a huge blow. Bentley was the FACE of the free agent class. Charlie Frye is going to be in a world of trouble now, but this Hoffen kid from Kent State seems to know what's up. I still think we're going 8-8-0, and I am going to stand by that 100%. One player doesn't shape the offensive line. Although the center is important, don't forget Frye can throw on the run, and that's where he's the best.
