Not sure if anybody else has a SS Mode running with a WR but im finding im either flat out terrible at it or its nearly impossible to do. My receiver is rated a 93 rookie so obviously its not my rating, I was beyond a beast in college. But so far I have yet to even catch a ball and it seems everytime a ball comes my way its either knocked down or picked off. Any suggestions? Also, ive tried both camera views and same result.

I love blocking as a WR, but I am not much help as a WR. Practice all you can.

Well it may just be that I got drafted by the Niners and im stuck with Alex Smith throwing the ball? Hopefully ill learn but im in my 2nd preseason game and have done about 7 training camps and still havent even caught a ball.

I had the same problem thats why i switched to RB. I played for the Saints and Brees is out for the season so with Bouman at the reigns and my 82 rated receiver I barely got the ball. I was 3rd string so the only thing i did was lay CB's out on run plays which is fun.

Catching is mad easy for me. The DBs do like to swarm you, but every once in a while I can make a catch. Are you not strafing? Cause it's nearly impossibly to catch if you're not doing that...

My superstar is not a wideout, but I was using the receivers a lot when I was playing with the Eagles. I think it just depends where the QB places it. Alex Smith does suck so that is probably why you are having trouble. I would say try playing as a wideout with a good QB in a play now game. Than you can see if you are having a problem or if it is your QB.

QB placement is paramount indeed. I did a WR one and got taken by the Rams and Marc Bulger was hitting me in stride.

practice it... i started mine and find myself having the same problems. in a practice with 30+ plays (on the Eagles as the second string guy 82 overall) i made a bunch of great blocks but only two catches. one was a 7 yarder or so... and the other one i broke deep for a touchdown. it's tough so far though, but the challenge is fun

Catching is very tough, keep practicing and worry more about making the catch and less about picking up yards after.

Well practice payed off for me guys. I kicked into gear right in time and now three games into the regular season I have over 300 yards and 3 TDs. I think it was a mixture of getting the hang of it and having Alex Smith at QB.
