Well, finally I thought we were going to have a good year on offense with Brees, Bush, McAllister, Horn, and Stallworth. But NOOOOOO! The Saints have to go and give freaking are future prospect in Stallworth to the damn Eagles. Freak, why is luck always on your side. www.nfl.com/teams/story/PHI/9624326

Can we really say Donte is still a prospect of the future anymore? The Eagles did get the help they need to stretch the field though. What worries me though is that this means that something serious may be wrong with Todd Pinkston. As for luck, I think it is hard to say. Look at last season. Look at the 3 straight NFC Championship losses. It really sucks sometimes.
EDIT: I am also worried about Donte's attitude. He was having issues with the coaches and didn't he lead the team in fines? Maybe the Eagles just need to get a crazy old man to take care of people like that. *cough*Chuck Bednarik*cough*

But im so jealous of the Eagles organization. It seems they are always making the right moves to fill the needed holes. I just think that Dante hasn't been able to standout because of the quarterback we had.
I think McNabb should find his new best friend in Stallworth though, just watch.

McNabb and Stallworth should click. I just hope they have the time to get into that rhythym.
The thing with the Eagles organization is they are not afraid to cut ties with verterans. Guys who are fan favorites and always performed. Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor, Duce Staley, Hugh Douglas, and Jeremiah Trotter. They all went on to not have as much success as they did in Philadelphia. Hell, Jeremiah Trotter even made it back here.
They also build the team during the draft. They always seem to have a good draft. You can't go by what the analysts say about their drafts. They said their '03 draft was bad. Look at it though. We drafted 3 Pro Bowlers that year. Michael Lewis, Lito Sheppard, and Brian Westbrook. Sheldon Brown also was drafted that year, who is much better than Lito Sheppard.

Dante Sallworth is still a prospect for the future yes, b ut not for long. He was never able to blossum on a horrible offense that aw all the production go to Deuce and Joe. Now, as the #1 guy, his speed and his ability to make the catch in traffic is going to make him a star.
That, and it takes the pressure off of the rest of Phillys WR's, which will benefit them greatly.

Didn't he run a 4.18 40 in his Pro Day workout?

Reggie Brown will still be the number one receiver. Donte will get his catches, but he won't be the number one receiver.

Your team's the one who pulled the trigger... It's called a good front office. It's all about the personnel.

The Eagles have an interesting front office. Joe Banner, Tom Heckert, and Andy Reid all have a huge part in roster decisions. It is a great front office.

Well, this trade pretty much means the end for Todd Pinkston. The Eagles have given him permission to seek a trade. Three teams are interested, which absolutely cracks me up.

Donte will get catches. He won't be the number one receiver on Andy Reid's depth chart though. AR said from day one that Reggie our guy. Donte will still be very productive though.

Stallworth will still put up very nice numbers in Philly. He was #2 to Joe Horn in New Orleans and still managed to catch 7 touchdowns last year...that's solid.

Don't forget the 945 yards racked up on 70 catches. Thats 13.5 yards a catch in case you didn't know...

All of a sudden, Philly looks better.
I don't know if they will win the division, but having a guy like this can only help.

It does help out a lot. The NFC East is going to be the most competetive division in football. Division games are going to mean a lot this season for the Eagles.

Philly looked to be missing a receiver. They had Brown, but he wasn't a SOLID Numero Uno, so they pick up Stallworth and it all works out. Watch out, I think adding him could add 2 wins to the record this year.
