You do realize that's nearly the equivalent of 50 games in baseball (well above the highest for any on-field action in that sport), 25 in the NHL or NBA (Stephen Jackson got 30 for punching multiple fans in the stands at the Palace). It's a hell of a suspension, and this could be compounded if Gurode chooses to take legal action, which the Nashville PD says they will assist him with if he so chooses.
Not to mention it's all without pay, so he's losing nearly 30% of his season salary in the process.

Should have been the year.
I doubt Fujita got anything for the cheap shot at Smith either.

That's called assault. Normally, that means jail time. He should be out for the year.

I only saw one stomp, and although it was heartless and classless, he could have done a lot worse to him.
And I even said that Gurode could push for assault charges, so geez...
Okay. Fine. Suspend him for the year. Whatever...

Umm Fujita did not take a cheap shot, he tripped. I swear Panther fans are always looking for excuses...

5 games is too much considering the passed suspensions given but whatever , what he did was stupid.

Suspend him for the year. Whatever... Well, he missed once. He should be suspended for being so uncoordinated. I'm not trying to attack you either, DB. I love sports as much as anyone, I just think it is ridiculous how athletes get a free pass on so much.

I still think this was fair, but alas, it's just an opinion. If Gurode doesn't think so, he can press charges.

This is outrageous. He got off way to easy in my eyes. What is it with althletes getting off easier (This and Bertuzzi getting off extremely easy for his attack on Steve Moore.)? Five is just too weak. First off, he did something that is just uncalled for. That is not even the worse though. What about the young football players in attendence and watching who saw that?

Sticking with what the NFL has done is a bad move.

I saw it on TV from a different angle, it really did look like he was slipping.
