I heard this thing got snapped at the forearm. Can anyone tell me anything about this?

Did you not see the play? Ouch man just looking at it....

He tackled a player from behind, and his arm got caught between his body and the player's leg. It kinda smashed together, and watching him try to get up, he moved and the camera caught his arm, it looked horribly out of place.

Somebody else can and probably will come up with a better description though.

I saw it and on the replay it looked pretty nasty. He's probably done forever. He tackled the guy at his feet from behind and his arm was kind of wedged in the guys legs and it just snapped. Then when he rolled over in pain you could see it was like dangling from his arm. From around his elbow to his wrist had like a 50 degree turn. It was not good looking. It reminded me of the Ohio State/Miami game a couple of year ago when Miami's running back hyperextended his knee.

ok maybe not that bad, but it was really gruesome.

Was this like Prothro's break bad? It sounds similar to how Prothro's ankle was turned backwards around 180 degrees and kind of dangling. I can find pictures, if I must. It would be a sad way to end a career on a devisating break, though arms are a bit easier to deal with than legs.

To think, that break possibly ended Bama's hopes for a MNC last year. He's still not walking properly on the thing either. He delivered the game ball to midfield before the Iron Bowl this year and was still limping. To think, it's been 13 1/2 months since that break too.

Hopefully Junior will have a little more luck than ole Pro.

What's worse is some of the crap he's gone thorugh in his rehab. They had to rebreak his leg during the off season, because they didn't get the dirt and grass out of the injury the first time in surgury.

I remember watching it happen, thinking he probably broke his ankle on the way down. Turns out, compound fracture that led to the bone being exposed because it cut through the skin.

Nasty, nasty, stuff.

I remember a long time back when the Bills played the Falcons back in the Jim Kelly era. Kelly threw a pick and the guy was returning it and Kelly dove at him and nailed him in the shin/calf with his head and the guy's leg bent so horribly..my god. If I could remember the year or the player, i'd try to find something about it.

Is that the one where they said he woulda died if it happened on the other side of the rink?

I don't think it had anything to do with where he was. He would've died had he freaked out and not applied pressure to it.
