I wonder what goes through a man's head...
He's in the thick of the last season rush towards home field advantage...he's playing nearly every down now that Tommie Harris is done for the season. He has a history of bad decisions and it never dawns on him to try and correct his ways. Instead...he purchases every gun in the known universe and keeps them his house.......UNREGISTERED...and at the same time lets his two toddlers, who are probably illegitimate, run around with these guns in the home.
You would figure with all of this media coverage about everything that goes wrong with professional athletes someone would get a clue...but it's something new everyday it seems.
I had this discussion with a friend last night.........why is it that outside of DUI's, the majority of criminal offenses are committed by one particular race? What makes them so prone to making less than intelligent decisions about life? Why is Maurice Clarett driving around wearing a kevlar vest and carrying a variety of high powered weapons....and then claiming he was going to target practice?
Are they just so blinded by their money that they just can't think? Are they pre-dispositioned to making bad choices due to their upbringing? Is it really that difficult to make a concious decision to choose right instead of wrong? When is it ok to carry multiple unregistered weapons in your household? Are you planning on getting robbed by so many people that you have to have enough firepower to blow away 500 people? Or does he enjoy not just shooting a deer but completely blowing it apart?
Ok....I'm done.
Well...no I'm not...he's a moron..........
Ok....now I'm done!

I agree with everything you said there.
I look at it this way when someone from one of my favorite teams gets in trouble...
I could be a Bengals fan.
But no one in Denver has screwed up in awhile at least legally. On the playing field, eh... we'll just leave it at that.

^Rediculous history of headhunters lol
What I cant figure out is how a GIANT of a man Tank Johnson is needs a "Body Guard". Something was lost in translation there, because he had to have been just a friend or possy member. No 6'3 340 pound NFL Lineman needs a body guard. I can guarantee you that.
I think the NFL should crack down. You get in trouble with the law, any kind of arest, you are out for the season. Seems harsh, but who cares? How many of you wana bet they stop getting in trouble. When that moneys not comming in, there not causing problems.
Those who break the rules, wether it be DUI's or a "mistake" it dont matter. Dont party so hard and do your job haha. I dont want the NFL to turn into the NBA, and we already have the Bengals who are a poor mans Portland Trailblazer organization.

Tank has lost control of his own life....I would venture to say that he will not play for Chicago again.
The ownership, nor the coaches will stand for this. Too much is going on to let go...DANGIT TANK!!

I know his Body Guard was killed, thats why I brought it up. Why would Tanke Johnson need a body guard?

Besides his size, who gives a crap about Tank Johnson? He isn't exactly a high profile player.

Not exactly a low profile player either. I would consider him a key part in the Bears' defensive scheme.

Not exactly a low profile player either. I would consider him a key part in the Bears' defensive scheme. Sure, people in Chicago know of him. But I doubt many casual fans know him for anything else but his off-field problems. Outside Illinois, we only hear of Urlacher and occasionally Tommie Harris or Lance Briggs.

The Bears elected to keep Tank on the team, but he will be suspended for their game this Sunday against the Detroit Lambs.

I'm glad he is staying with the team. He may not be well-known, but he sure does help in our defensive line rotation.

I had this discussion with a friend last night.........why is it that outside of DUI's, the majority of criminal offenses are committed by one particular race? What makes them so prone to making less than intelligent decisions about life? Ok, just a comment on this. You do realize that only 1/4 of crime in America is committed by African Americans if that is what you were getting at. It just seems like it is a lot more because those are the stories the media chooses to cover. Along with the fact that there are less African Americans in the country than there are Caucasions. But in actuality Whites commit more crimes. Sorry, just had to stand up for my brothas

Since we're bringing this up...you just proved my point.
BTW I should have stated that I was referring to pro sports athletes and their "issues". But I didn't, but I'll respond in kind to your comment.
-In 2005, there were a total of 442,520 violent crime associated arrests. Out of those, 260,984 (59.0%) of those were committed by whites, 171,675 (38.8%) were committed by blacks.
-In 2005, there were a total of 70,080 violent crime associated arrests of people under the agent of 18. Of those, 33,780 (48.2%) were committed by whites, 34,897 (49.8%) were committed by blacks.
2005 US Census Bureau Statistics White: 215,300,000 Black: 34,900,000 Total Population: 300,469,066
Statistically, it breaks down like this: You have a 1 in 678 chance overall of being the victim of a violent crime in the US. You have a 1 in 824 chance of being the victim of a violent crime committed by a white person. You have a 1 in 203 chance of being the victim of a violent crime committed by a black person.
A black person is four times more likely to commit a violent crime and yet they make up six times less of the population that caucasians do. You do the math…something is wrong here.
Numbers don’t lie…I wasn’t picking on a particular race, I’m telling the truth. I wish it wasn't so lopsided...but media coverage or not, there is a dilemma and the proof is in the pudding they say.
