Kansas City at Indianapolis (Colts can't do anything about LJ.) Chiefs 34 <=== Colts 20 Larry Johnson rushes for over 200 yards Chiefs 38-34 Colts Larrry Johnson runs all over them like expected. Kansas City 30, Indianapolis 27 There's no reason that LJ should put up less than 150 on the Colts D. After all of that, the Indianapolis Colts hold the Cheifs to 8 points in a 23-8 wild card victory. The Chiefs first first down of the game, 3:34 left in the third quarter. The Cheifs managed 7 first downs(2 rushing-5 passing) while the Colts managed 13 rushing and 15 passing. the cheifs were 1 for 11 on 3rd down, got sacked 4 times, ran for 2.6 yards a carry with Johnson netting 32 rushing yards. I would say the Colts defense got fed up and showed they can stop the run and play defense..... Against the "Best Runningback in the game" to everyone last season who's 416 carries broke a league record. It's so good to be a Colts fan in the aftermath of being a Fighting Irish one....

Do you want me to post up all your bad coaching predictions? Really though....weird things happen....the Colts defense showed up for once. It's the NFL. These things happen.

An ok win for the Colts. Had KC been able to anything, they could have easily made it a game. That was one of the most anemic performances by an offensive line I've seen in a while. I'm not trying to belittle how Indy's D played today, because they were good, but I just got the feeling KC's offensive production (or lack thereof) was more to do with them messing up and not executing. If Indy places anything close to how they did today, they will be in a world of hurt against Baltimore.

pretty sure that Mike Solari and Trent Green both need to be fired. Trent Green has turned into a horrible quarterback and would someone please tell me why we only handed the ball to Larry Johnson 13 times. Its ridiculous it sucks to be a Chiefs fan. Cuz every year i get my hopes up and every year they let u down.
U have to be pessimistic to be a Chiefs fan no way around it.

Well it's nice for me having no hope in my team to begin with...
Trent Green needs to be....fired? Released?
He's what, 38? Anyway? He's gonna retire soon.

If you watched the game.... he couldnt hand the ball of to LJ, because they were 3 and out over and over again. Hard to rack up 35 carries when you run twice, pass once, punt and wait 8 and a half mintues for the Colts to score.

Jordan Black shouldn't be in this league. No ifs, ands, or buts. He's a CFL player masquerading as an NFL player. Another overrated Notre Lame reject. Granted, he was facing Freeney the whole game, but the guy is washed up. Cut him.
Hats off to the Colts, like DB said, I would be pissed if I was getting put down all week about how I can't stop the run. They went out there and took care of business. What else can you ask for?
The one guy I would like to see go is Carl Peterson. God bless Lamar Hunt, but he was loyal, almost to a fault, with him. He does just enough to appease the fans, which is to win 6-7 home games a year and for him, to push merchandise out the door. I'm not saying that he cares only about making bank, but it's obvious winning isn't at the top of his list.

I agree Jordan Black isnt exactly a very good tackle, and especially to Chiefs fans who are so used to having great offensive lines. You cant exactly blame him fully though, because any tackle would have trouble against Freeney and a defensive line that pumped in the RCA Dome.
Thats why im glad they are coming into Baltimore. The difference between facing the d-line at home and on the road makes it so much easier for the offensive lineman of the opposing team.

Freeny only had success because he wasn't doubled. He has been doubled and even trippled with the RB or FB all year. That's why he's been a no-show every game.
Last time he played Baltimore, he destroyed all pro Jon Ogden, so lets see if they plan to use some bodies against him.
I think Cato June and Gary Bracket stepped up their play moreso than any Colts player.

Yeah, Ogden gave up 2 or 3 sacks in that game. That was at the RCA Dome where we have played Indianapolis the past three times and lost. Now they get to come to M&T Bank where we hold the best home record since 2000.
The week off hopefully put Ogden at 100% after missing the last two regular season games. If we can give Jamal Lewis the amount of carries we like (25-30) and the defense can get to Peyton Manning and rough him up before the secondary gives up a big play (notably Samari Rolle) then we should be great.
This game will be much different than that game last year in the opener. This team gave up a team-record 17 sacks I believe, and thats with losing Keydrick Vincent, Jonathan Ogden, and Edwin Mulitalo on the IR with Jon and Keydrick missing some games.
McNair is a huge part of that, keeping his poise in the pocket and finding his best option quickly. I expect a great game, but im pretty confident if we gameplan correctly we will beat the Colts on Saturday.

I think you'll see the Ravens representing the AFC in the SB this year.
Comes down to experienced quarterback play.
McNair has that.

You can have him, jay.
I'd like to see us trade up, and get a solid blind-side tackle, such as an Arron Sears or Levi Brown.
Plus, all signs point to Trent Green being the Chiefs quarterback for next year. In all honesty, it's the right move because Huard's not an NFL starting quarterback (although he sure looked it this season) and Brodie's gonna need to put on about 15-20 pounds still. He looks bigger, but this is the NFL.
But please, get an offensive line if you're going to keep Trent as the starter. Black just doesn't cut the mustard, and Welbourn is good, but lazy. The interior is fine with Waters and Wiegmann, although Shields might retire.
