Personally, I was sick of hearing how great Mangini is and that the Jets were going to beat the Patriots at home. I do give Mangini credit, but who did they beat. With the exception of their win in Foxboro, they beat the Dolphins twice, the Bills once, Oakland, Houston, GB, Minnesota, Detroit, and the Kerry Collins led Titans. They got blown out by Jacksonville, Buffalo at home, as well as losing to Cleveland. The team didn't have any significant injuries and got 10 wins with a last place team's schedule. Not saying its easy, but it isn't too hard as well.
Then, people seemed to write off the Patriot's 12 wins as if they were nothing; suggesting that the Jets were going to walk into the Razor and beat us. For Mike Dikta to compare the Jets to General Patton in WWII and the Patriot's as the German army was ridiculous. I know ESPN goes for shock and awe with their commentators, but please.
I'm glad this game is over and all the whiny Jets fans will shut up for another year.

Well....the Jets didn't play a very bad game. They just pretty much collapsed in the 4th quarter. Oh, and as I recall, your Patriots ALSO played the Lions, AT Foxboro, and barely escaped with a win.

I didn't say they played badly, or that I thought they would. But, while playing well, they still lost 37-16. The touchdown pass was a bit of an aberration, and other than that they really had no big plays. They were abysmal in the redzone and made costly errors. The entire game the Patriots were much more physical and it was only a matter of time before they wore down. And I will never claim that all the Patriots wins are pretty, but they do have them.

I was also getting tired of all the hype....now if the Pats get knocked out next round, I'll be very satisfied.

I've been saying the Jets aren't that good from Week Eight on. They didn't seem to have the talent to make the playoffs, just the schedule, the hope, and a little luck to get in...
