Your thoughts on this game...
I think, even though he has alot of help by Brian Westbrook, Jeff Garcia continues to play extremely well. He didn't play like a Pro Bowler, but his ability to make plays happen with his feet and protect the ball allows the Eagles defense and Westbrook to win games.
The Giants made a game out of it, but you could tell Manning is not ready to lead a team. He really needed a year or two on the bench. Now he goes home and the player the Giants traded away, Phillip Rivers, will get to show what hes worth against that impressive Patriots team.
In all... I like the Eagles-Saints Seahawks-Bears setup better than a Giants-Bears Seahawks-Saints setup.

Philadelphia didn't play AS good as they have today....Eli blew and it came down to a FG with time expiring. Thought they coulda won by more, but Tiki kept NY in this game.

Tiki kept the Giants in this game, and Manning-Burress made some big plays. Penalties continued to kill this team though, and even if they would have won this game would not have made it any farther with that kind of discipline.
The Eagles secondary is in big trouble next week at New Orleans. I think Colston, Bush could both be in for a big game next week.

Sheppard dislocated his elbow, so I dont know what that means against that Saint WR core. I think the Eagles show up when needed though, so you will be suprised. The real story will be if New Orleans defense shows up and shuts down the Eagles defense and causes turnovers.
Good to see Dante Stallworth play the Saints in the playoffs... Guess the trade worked out fine. Saints have a way with making good on trades.

Stallworth didnt get to play the first game, so that should be interesting him returning there. Obviously, Lito Sheppard makes a huge different on how effective they will be considering that their best corner IMO (UF grad so I may be bias).
I just think with Johnson's blitzing scheme he is going to leave those corners on and island like usual, and against all these weapons their going to get beat. Thats why im expecting big plays out of Marques Colston, and some plays off little dumpoffs and screen passes to Bush due to the blitz.

What team in the NFC did deserve to make the playoffs? Seriously though, they made a good game out of what they had. You can only do so much with that many injuries, being one of the worst with penalties, and a team that has a new player each week having a problem with the coaching.
Tiki should stay one more year...

Eli should go...
Seriously though, he sucks and so does our defense. How do you let them run straight down the field like that after your offense FINALLY does something? Now I have to root against the Eagles and Patriots for the rest of the year and that's it.
And our offensive line is fat...how pathetic are they man?

David Diehl looked lost playing at the tackle position. I know he's supposed to be at guard, and missing Petiguot really hurt the Giants yesterday. I think 3 or 4 of the penalties last night were on Diehl.
Also, on Philly Lito Sheppard is out. Very bad news for Eagles fans. So now your looking at Sheldon Brown, Roderick Hood, and Joselio Hanson against Joe Horn, Marques Colston, and Devery Henderson with Drew Brees at quarterback. With the Saints also at home. I know one thing, im going to have a few Saints on my fantasy team for the playoffs this week.

First, it might be slight homerism you have there Leak. Sheldon Brown had been the best corner this team has had since Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent left town. Also, the secondary will have some more help this week. The mystery person is, Brian Dawkins. The reason why Plaxico had such a big game was because of Brian Dawkins having to play on Jeremy Shockey. Plaxico was easily able to take advantage of the smaller corners opposite Sheldon Brown. This left Sean Considine to help with double teams on Plaxico. As we all know, Sean isn't the biggest guy in the world.
I do think the Saints passing game will have success, but you do have to look on the other side of the ball. Since the Eagles and Saints played in the regular season, the Eagles offensive line has stepped up play. This is going to be a tough job for the Saints linebackers to handle. Westbrook has been running well behind the line.
I think this game will be much closer than what we saw in the regular season. I feel that it will come down to which team makes fewer mistakes. I am ready for a good game.

Im not expecting a blowout neither because of the Saints defense. Just thinking that if I were Philly I would be concerned in the secondary when you blitz as often as you do and are missing one of your top corners.
I always thought Lito was better than Sheldon Brown, but maybe thats just my opinion in the Eagles games I do see.

It could be the way national media talks about things, because I was always under the impression Lito was a bit better as well. I also only watch about 1-3 Eagles games a year.

It is a common thing for people to see, most Eagles fans will say that Lito is better. But I can almost gurantee that they were all on the Sheldon bandwagon on Sunday. You do make a good point leak. That is what scares me. Jim Johnson has to realize that we do play with under-sized players in our secondary. The all out blitz pretty much just hurts us more than anything.

I just can't see the Eagles pulling this out. Their defense, while greatly improved, wasn't too good run-stopping wise against the Giants, and with the Saints duo, they should control the ball over 2/3 the time again. Also, the Saints have too bigger receivers, similar to Plaxico, which gave the Iggles problems all game.
Westbrook needs to have like, 200+ total yards for a Philly win, with some serious help from the defense...
