Just look at the fan reaction for the two teams that won at home this weekend. The Saints fans stayed in the Dome and danced for like 15 minutes after the game, even though they didn't win on a game winning field goal. The Bears fans too, went crazy when that FG won them the game.
My point? That if fans feel that emotional in a game, how can someone who actually played not get picked up in the moment? You wanna know why Mr. MVP was really pissed? His team lost in the playoffs, again. It really just comes down to that.

If you're going to say it's disrespectful the way that they celebrated, you have to say it's disrespectful every time someone celebrates and does a dance.
Did you hear Strahan whining when his "jump shot dance" got mocked numerous times by other teams? Did he go to the media and say, "That's disrespectful?" No.
I think what the Patriots did was fine. LT was just being a sore loser. Also, I wasn't there, but I didn't see anyone, even in the videos, stomp the logo or mock the dance. I know it happened, but it wasn't like the whole team went to the Chargers logo, and stomped around on it while doing Merriman's dance.

Oh, and Roosevelt Colvin was a big factor. The interception and the closeline/facemask by LT was a big turning point.
And people have been knocking the way NE wins for near 5 years now. In the immortal words of Vin Diesel, "It doesn't matter if you win by a foot or a mile, winning's winning."
(Or something like that).

I did forget Colvin made the interception, I apologize.
Being an Indianapolis Colts fan, I can tell you that I am the first to give the Patriots respect for their superbowls. 3 Superbowls in 10 years is beyong imagination, so 3 in 4 is rediculous. The won 3 right? lol.
I agree LT was already mad for reasons we all know.... but you have seen T.O. mock the Cowboys at the logo and get decked. It's something you dont do. I dont condem LT for going to midfield, but I do think the Patriots ruined the reputation as a classy team.
Even if I dont think they are classless and/or have a classless coach.
Tell me if a team did that to your team, what would you feel? As a fan.

I wouldn't like it. But it happens all the time. And also, I haven't seen any video of the Patriots doing this. I'm not denying they celebrated on the field, but to lump the whole team with a couple of guys is not right. Prove me wrong, but I highly doubt Tom Brady, Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Troy Brown, etc. (the Pats backbone) were the ones imitating the great and holy Shawn Merriman. I imagine it was mostly fringe/special teams guys.
Also, the Charger's logos are all over the field (naturally) should an opposing team run to the 15 yard line or some other spot as to not offend a team?

Keep using it Bama, it has just been the first year I've ever heard it used, that combined with the fact that I'm still angry about what the Steelers did last year, and it all ads up. all i can say to this is WE DEY!!! Oh and Dolts vs. Da Bears in the Super Bowl. I don't want to see the Pats go on. The Super bowl champ will be decided at the end of the 630 game on Sunday, since the AFC is much more dominant than the NFC, as always.

I know the AFC us more dominant, but now the NFC has a much better chance with both Baltimore and San Diego gone. I think the Saints and Colts if they make it like I predicted than New Orleans surprisingly would win it all. By that time I think this "amazing" Colts run defense now would look sort of like they did against Jacksonville a little over a month ago.

Weather is Chi-town for Sunday looks to be around 27 and some possible lingering snow around for kickoff. The good news is that the weather in Louisiana hasn't been much better this week. It hasn't got above 50 degrees since Monday, and has rained almost all week. So there shouldn't be a huge shock for the Saints when they get up there. They haven't played outside since the game against the Giants in Week 16, and it was only 50 degrees that day.
Anyway, the whole Gulf region is pretty pumped about the game Sunday. I honestly can't wait, it cannot get here soon enough.
*starts singing* "Oh when the Saints, go marchin' in..........."

As a resident of the north, 50 degrees is quite nice for us. So far this winter we've had streaks of warm weather in the 50's. That is weather that warrants shorts. I just wonder how players who are used to playing in the south and the heat will take to it, especially if it gets as cold as expected in Chicago.

I'm wondering that too. The weather has hung around 40-45 during the day every day this week, well except Tuesday when the high was 39. It is generally a little warmer over in Metairie, where the Saints practice. So it will probably be a little shock to the system. You know that and playing every home game inside.
Oh and just to note Freak, I've worn shorts every day but Tuesday this week. I kind of like when my giblets get a cool breeze blown up that way.

Gambling experts say to always go against what everyone else is saying...and that works for me this week.
I like the Bears against the Colts

Also note that outside of a dome, the Saints average one full yard less per attempt than they do at home. 3.6 away, 4.6 at home.......and it's going to be cold as bizzzaalllllss!!!!

Though oddly they play better on the road. They went 5-4 in the Dome and 6-2 on the road. That's not to say this won't be one wickedly more difficult road test come Sunday. Go Saints.

But how often are they playing on the road when it involves snow. It's going to be a great game again.

Snow day in Chicago is going to make this a hell of a test for New Orleans. Reggie needs to keep a good grip on the ball because the boy couldn't hold onto it in the Dome.
I still say Bobby Hebert will be leading the parade in his white dress. It's the Saints though, so I have a hard time being optimistic. I guess I just need to be, because this is just a load of fun.
So Go Saints, beat Chicageaux.

I hate to double post, but I came across an article stating the origins of that "Who Dat" cheer. Since I mentioned I didn't know the story surrounding it and all, I figured I'd post it and educate you people. wafb.com/Global/story.asp?S=5964805&nav=menu57_1

Well, we still have "Who Dey". Yeah, just goes to show, even with the similarities, neither side probably copied the other. Oh and I was at the Bengals/Saints game this year (assuming you kind of root for the Bengals). Just wanted to throw that nugget of information out there.
