I think if they land Trent in Miami, then the problem becomes money. If that happens, Daunte is out of the picture and then you have only a 30-something quarterback to rely on. If Quinn is there, it is tough to pass on him if your Quarterback options are Trent Green/Daunte Culpepper.

I have scrapped the idea of redoing my mock tonight. Too much swirling in my head.
BTW, just watched Bobby... great movie....</off topic>

I personally dont see the pats taking Beason, maybe it is just me but I dont htink he fits into the mold of what they want in a player or a person. I do see them taking McCauley however, with Samuel being a b***h. At 24 I see them taking Leonard, Meachem, or different LB.
BTW the pick NE got from Seattle is the 24th not the 28th.

Whoever comes away with Johnson is getting the best player in the draft, and it isn't even that close.

Patriots aren't drafting a WR in the first round. It would be my dream if Nelson or Willis fell, but I doubt it.
I would be very happy with Paul Poslczjsdkfy and any DB. I like Aaron Ross, Michael Griffin, and a couple others. Am not a big McCauley fan.
But, I highly doubt the Patriots end the day picking 24 and 28; it just isn't Patriot-esque.

I dont see Poz as a viable option I would anticipate him going much earlier than 24th. However if the Pats can somehow use their 2 picks to move up say 10ish spots they could have a shot at willis or poz or maybe someone like Reggie Nelson.
Another rumor I have heard is trading one of the 1st rounders and Samuel to the Skins for the 6th pick and then taking Landry. That would be a good deal, IMO as I dont expect Samuel to be in a Pats uniform next season.

Pozluzny'll probably be there at 24. In fac,t most mocks I've seen have him going there.

really? Oh I heard on SI that Buffalo was looking at him at 12th (although I do not think thy will take) so I figured if someone was thinking of him at 12 then by 24 he would be gone.

I would love to see Poz in an Eagles uniform but I don't think that will happen.

He should be there at 24. I don't like trading up too much for players. I like Landry and Nelson, but I hate giving up a lot to get essentially unproven commodities.

I agree with Cerrano. No way they take a receiver in the first round , they are more likely to trade up for Pat Willis. I heard they like Beason, and remember, just because they go to "Da U" doesn't mean they are thugs.... I can't name any at the moment but that's not important . And Poz is on the rise, not the fall, after Willis, I bet he is the second linebacker taken.

I think it is possible for any team to trade up on draft day. That is when the most outrageous trades happen. Let's not forget the Saints deal for Ricky Williams.

I seriously doubt that Tennessee will take Meachem over Ginn. He will fall no lower than to Tennessee.

Also, I see that you have some trades. To note, Philadelphia GM Tom Heckert has stated he may try and move up in the draft. To draft whom, I don't know but I would think it may be a linebacker.

Maize, the only way Brady Quinn won't be in a Cleveland Brown uniform is if he is wearing a Lions one.

I'm glad you feel that confident Sportsbuck. I don't know what they are saying in Cleveland, but I think its a fight between coaching and management. Drafting Quinn says they are entering rebuilding, while A.P. sends a message of looking for faster success.
News is Meachem's stock is rising as the draft gets closer plus many Gm's "still question Ginn's character and injury."
cooljay, drafting Quinn means they don't have the faith in their young QB and coach. I say they give Jackson atleast another full season to get a good feel on him.
Freak, Philly moving up makes sense, I see them targeting, like you said, an LB. Maybe if they get fiesty, they go up and take Willis to shock the world.

That is what I think will happen. I just can't seem to find what they would trade to get that pick. The players I can see are William 'Tra' Thomas, Ryan Moats, or possibly Hank Baskett. The thing is, I don't think any of them are worthy of 1st round picks, unless they can package all of that up.
