This is The Way the Draft is suppose to end up....
First round picks of the ravens from there first year
First-Round Draft Picks -- Baltimore Year Player Pos. School 2006 Haloti Ngata DT Oregon 2005 Mark Clayton WR Oklahoma 2004 No Pick -- -- 2003 Terrell Suggs DE Arizona State Kyle Boller QB California 2002 Ed Reed S Miami (Fla.) 2001 Todd Heap TE Arizona State 2000 Jamal Lewis RB Tennessee Travis Taylor WR Florida 1999 Chris McAlister CB Arizona 1998 Duane Starks CB Miami (Fla.) 1997 Peter Boulware DE Florida State 1996 Jonathan Ogden OT UCLA Ray Lewis LB Miami

Indianapolis had better first rounders.

Boller and Taylor are busts and Haloti Ngata and Clayton haven't really had seasons of greatness either yet so I don't think it's fair to make them sound like they were fabulous picks yet...we'll see on them.
Did you even look at other teams past drafts?

I tend to think the Ravens have drafted very well over this amount of time. I agree that Boller and Taylor are beyond busts, but guys like Ed Reed, Todd Heap, Ray Lewis, and Terrell Suggs are some of the best players at their positions. Chris McAlister and Jonathan Ogden are both solid contributors as well.

Duane Starks stinks. Had a couple good seasons. But not first round material. Baltimore does draft incredibly well.
Personally, I'll take New England over most any team.
Laurence Maroney, Logan Mankins, Vince Wilfork, Ben Watson, Ty Warren, Daniel Graham, Richard Seymour, Damien Woody, and Robert Edwards (freak injury after great rookie year).

Even though they were first-rounders already, I think that Maroney and Mankins were steals. I figured that Maroney would be at least a top-15 pick last year.

I have look at other Teams first rounders and as for Indy they have done very good lately but in the past they have picked some serious busts.... Look at the Ravens draft theres seriously like 4 to 5 hall of famers on there since they began there franchise in 96.... For the Patriots why would you take two first round tigth ends in just a year apart makes no sense .... But the worst team to ever Draft is without a doubt the Detroit Lions...

If you want to go back to 1993, you get, Drew Bledsoe, Willie McGinest, Ty Law, Terry Glenn, Chris Canty, and Tebucky Jones and Andy Katzenmoyer. Canty is by far the worst. Katzenmoyer was promising, but injuries derailed him. Jones and Glenn under preformed.
Gostkowski in the 4th, Tully Banta-Cain and David Givens in the 7th, Patrick Pass in the 7th, Jarvis Green in the 4th as well as Asante Samuel, Dan Koppen in the 5th, oh, and some guy named Tom Brady in the 6th. He's ok.
Perhaps I'm biased in thinking NE is the best, but they are undoubtedly top 3 in the past 5-10 years.

The Patriots run 2 tight end sets all the time. Graham is one the best blocking tight ends in the league and Watson (although he has come no where near matching his potential) can stretch a defense. Watson was a value pick. Now, Graham is gone so the pick does not look so bad. And this is why.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NQaQ0Xngbc

that definitely should have been the pats ball. and bearcat how is ogden a "solid contributer"? Is probably one of the greatest left tackles to play the game and was (and sometimes still is) completely dominant.

If we are taking first rounders, that is good. The key to the draft is drafting well every round. I will stick with the Eagles there. Donovan McNabb, Sheldon Brown, Lito Sheppard, Michael Lewis, Mike Patterson, Shawn Andrews, Brian Westbrook, L.J. Smith, they find the solid players. They seem to have the talent in finding undrafted players and turning them into good players.

Actually, in the past 15 years, the Bengals have had way worse drafts.
David Klinger. Ki-Jana Karter. Dan Wilkinson. Akili Smith. Peter Warrick. John Copeland. Chris Perry.

He's good, but starting on the decline. He's still a top five left tackle, but I wouldn't call him dominant anymore.

I just can't see calling a guy that is in my opinion a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame a "solid contributer". While he is not all the time dominant have you ever seen anyone dominant or even beat him really at all. The man is probably the best left tackle in history and is one of the top 3-5 in the league right now. In my opinion that is much more than a solid contributer.
