We got a clone of him in Jarrett. Even better we get to keep the money that would've been due to him if he came to training camp (Contrary to reports, we didn't give him a 3 million dollar bonus a month ago).
David, check out the Observer and you'll see why this was a good move.

1. Offense was terrible last year, but Keyshawn was still a very productive #2 receiver (70 catches, 800 yards or so).
2. The team completely ignored a blinding need at TE in the draft. Your pass catching did not improve elsewhere.
3. You need a reciever with something resembling blocking skills.
4. He was going to mentor Jarrett for a year, who could play as a #3 and possibly start next year.
5. Colbert has vanished, Carter is very inconsistent, and the other WR drafted is nothing.

I was hoping Keyshawn would stay because he would help make Jarrett become a productive wide out. I think he may try Oakland to work with Mike Williams (he was extremly happy by the trade when it was announced on draft weekend) but Oakland probably doesnt need another wideout.
If no one wants him, at least he can be an ESPN personality.

Wouldn't it be some shit if Reggie Ball was on the Panthers one day?

I think David, and myself, would rather see the Panthers move to Paris than see that happen.

Eagles are looking at him. along with half a dozen other teams benefitting from this random act of stupidity Sportsbuck read Fowler's article in the observer today about this move for some common sense.

I read the article but I don't see what the big deal is. We got rid of an aging receiver, whose past his prime, not to mention had a pricy contract. I still think Dwayne Jarrett will benefit from starting right away. No better way to learn than by doing.
If we're going to get rid of anyone it should be Chris Gamble. Hell, Keyshawn would play better at corner than him. (Even though he's a Buckeye, I hate Chris Gamble. To see why, just watch Lee Evans touchdown for Wisconsin against Ohio State in 2003)
