No link yet, but it was just reported on ESPNEWS the Bears intend to move him to the offensive side.
Thoughts? I'm a tad confused by this.

Why not? Makes sense to give your play makers more opportunities to make plays... it's not like he was a heavy contributor defensively to start with, especially with all their skill and depth...

Yes! I can now justify using Hester on offense in Madden.

I have actually been waiting for this to happen. I used to line him up on offense in NCAA when playing with Miami. Him and Cromartie I always took off of defense and played them just ST and Offense.
I think we just might see Hesters name in the papers a little more than we did last year.

He may be fast but are his hands any good? Remember, he won't have the best quarterback throwing to him.

Yeah well he still passed for 3,200 yards and 23 touchdowns, it's not like Grossman is completly oblivious on how to pass the ball, either way the Bears plan on lining him up in the backfield as well.

Its about time Chicago takes advantage of his versatility- the kid is a very special athlete. He may need work at the WR spot but he can easily become football's most dangerous player.

well even if rex grossman isnt a good QB he did lead them to the Super Bowl.. I don't think lead is the correct verb there. If anything, he was led to the Super Bowl by the defense. Regardless of quarterback, this is a stupid move. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I kinda of think of it as the defense was a Corvette blazing down the highway with Grossman being attached to the car by his leg, having his body dragged on the streets being flung everywhere...
And Gary, don't even possibly defend Grossman... there's a better chance the Bulls come back to beat the Pistons (or better yet Suckalo comes back against the Sens) than prove that Grossman is even a mediocre QB at best...

I am not trying to make it a hard diss on Rex, I am just saying that Devin won't have the experience at receiver. We saw Rex make some bad throws last year but experience at the position were able to correct those errors. I just wonder if Devin Hester will be able to make those adjustments on a ball not thrown perfectly.

I'll defend anyone I want to, don't think you have any authority to tell what to do.
I believe he will be a Probowl QB this season, but it's up to him.

Rex Grossman is NOT good quarterback. He's an okay game manager who can get his team by, while relying on a strong defense.
Think a more talented version of Craig Krenzel of the 2002 Buckeyes.
