Maddenoliday is coming upon us and I cant wait for the game to come out. I rented NCAA 08 and am glad I didnt buy it because this madden looks to be the best version in the past years. One review is in (from gamedaily) and gave the game a 9/10 rating.
Anyone else buying madden? I pre-ordered mine three weeks ago for the 360.

NCAA 08 just felt like a small upgrade over NCAA 07. Im renting it at the moment until madden comes out. The 60 fps is nice and i love the deep recruiting. Dont get me wrong, i love playing the NCAA games and Madden Games but i am using my 60 bucks to buy one game this season and madden is the winner.
I just love all the new features this year's version has. I been buying both games for the past three years but im only buying Madden this year.
I probably wont be playing it much this year due to college but my new roomamte is a Madden fan also (with a 360) so expect some headed competition in my dorm room. I also want to enter the Madden challenge in DC for the first time ever so i need to train against the computers and online.

I would join that Madden Challenge in DC, but what is it played on? If I recall correctly, isn't it on an arcade system? It makes a huge difference on your success, along with the fact of how many minutes each quarter played and other factors.

Well this year they're using the 360 and PS2. I tried to enter the challenge in DC 2 years ago but an event came up and I missed out.
I've seen all kinds of videos though and it's like playing on your own system with a friend. There's a crap load of stations set up in the challenge site and you play another random person. Its not arcady at all but you do have to stand up and play.

Well, that sucks because I am playing on PS3 now. No biggie though, I have alot of fun playing with friends and every now and then playing for money anyway.

I played it at GameStop..it's definately better than last two years. There was no slowdown or anything like in NCAA, and it just runs way smoother.

Anyone doing the midnight deal? I used to, but I don't think I will this year...

well the past two next gen maddens were roster updates but this year's version is simply on a new level. EA is really impressing me with the progress they made with this game...
i still wish they'd get rid of the damn radio announcer though.
