The Pats were video recording the Jets play calls during the game....aparently, they did it last year in a game against Green Bay.
The NFL security or whoever found the camera and video and now Godell said the Pats broke the rules. Now they lose draft picks or something else.
Im too lazy to grab a link for you but it's on ESPN and all that.

I bet more than just the Pats do it...
Not saying it's all right, but I would think teams would change their signs often enough that it wouldn't matter. Hell, we'd change them every few games on my little league team back in the day...

Yeah... but the Pats are the only team stupid enough to get caught... not just once... but twice!
Hahaha, I hate them, I hope they are forced to forfeit every game this season. I know it won't happen but I want it to lol

Doesn't matter, because looking at the team they have do they even need any day one picks next year?! Seriously, I'm glad they got caught against the Jets because Mangini has been outsmarting Belichick since the day he joined them as Head Coach. Only problem is he has half the talent, and really has no shot at dethroning the Pats in the AFC East.

well i just saw on ESPN that Bellicheck and the Pats got fined $750 K EACH.
Also, if the pats go to the playoffs, they will have to forefeit their first round pick in next year's draft.

Does this take away from the Super Bowl wins? When you are kicking field goals in the final seconds to win I just feel something like that may have given them an edge to get over the top.

Exactly what I was thinking. The Pat fans say that it's no big deal since they would have won this game anyway, but evidence gives reason to believe that this has going on for a long time, including several postseasons in which they happen to have offensive explosions in the second half to pull out tight games. |

I understand both Freak, and David's thoughts on the superbowls because obviously it happened to both of your teams. I just look at it like this, unfortunately now that is the past. I hope even with the team they have this year all this controversy tears them apart. It's very possible too, just look at all these competitive teams in the AFC. But I agree you have to wonder though, and it makes me think maybe this was the reason the Pats almost made the superbowl with just Jabar Gaffney, and Reche Caldwell as their receivers last year.
