The Pistons weren't the best team out there, they just simply benefited from other teams' weaknesses. Look at the Semifinals...they barely escaped NJ. The Conference Finals was a tale of Ron Artest not showing up, and the NBA Finals was a mishap on the part of the Lakers, for the fact that Shaq and Kobe were deep down pissed off at one another.
Just because you win the title doesn't mean you are the best team. That is like saying the come from behind Indy 500 winner is the best driver in the universe. That's not true.
Win another 2, and then we'll talk best team.

As much as I hate to say it, being a die-hard Pistons fan, but we had the easy road during the playoffs last year. As tough as NJ and Indy were, we didn't have to play San Antonio, Minnesota, or Sacramento. Those three, especially the Spurs and Twolves, probably could have topped us in a seven-game series. Pistons fans should be thanking their lucky stars that we didn't have to play Tim "Dunkin' Donuts" Duncan or Kevin "The Big Ticket" Garnett in the finals, because let me tell you, the Lakers were a helluva lot easier than they would have been.

Minnesota woulda won but we had a 3rd string PG starting cuz Cassell and Hudson were both hurt. if either of the 2 were health we woulda beaten the Lakers then the Pistons.

Minnesota was a heck of a team last year. They probably would have beaten the Pistons in 7 (with healthy PGs) and the Spurs could have triumphd in six. One lucky shot completely drained SA (Derek "Lucky Shot" Fisher). They neva should have lost that series. And for the person who started this thread: cut down on the smileys and exclamation points, we get the point.
