Obviously not enough to maintain a superstar status in the NBA. Compared to Bron and D-Wade, Dirk's merely an under-publicized all-star caliber player.

He hasn't won a title. I think they get someone on the team that wins the title this year. Rip for the Pistons maybe, Amare or Nash if the Suns take it, D-Wade if it's Miami.

I think Steve Nash or Amare Stoudamire should be on it. They both are having breakout seasons with the Suns.

Just look for an outstanding player Carmelo didnt get a championship with his team last season,and he is on the cover,Brian Urlacher was on the NFL 2k3 cover THE BEARS DIDNT WIN THE SUPERBOWL.The point is dont lower it down to those players,true they will be noticed more,but to be honest,a not so know player,but is still good,is Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon I honestly think there is a fair chance that a Bull will be on the cover.

I've come up with this list of players:
- Dwyane Wade - LeBron James - Amare Stoudemire - Manu Ginobili - Gilbert Arenas - Jermaine O'Neal
If one of those guys don't get it, I'd be surprised. No, shocked.

I highly doubt Jermaine will be on the cover with the incident in Detroit no matter what. I doubt Manu will play because he does not have name recognition outside NBA fans.
I think it will either be D-Wade or LeBron. Both are young flashy players which have name recognition, especially LBJ.

I don't think Tracy McGrady will be on the cover of 2006. Fair or not, there were championship expectations when he was teamed with Yao. Houston has been playing solid, but no where up to the level people expected. Also, a lot of people believe he is not a winner. Again, probably not fair, but when you see Orlando's improved play without him, it makes you wonder. On the other hand, he certainly has the star power and skills to rival anyone in the league, so he is a viable candidate.

It all depends on what the new thing is going to be with the game. If they work with the Big men more, look for Stoudmire. If it's stille the whole ball control feel, steve nash might even. Then you still have Labron James as a sitting duck for video games.

How about Grant Hill. He has really steped his game up. Even though he hasnt played that much in the last 5 years.

^He's doing nothing spectacular.... not for what he's getting paid. Francis owns him on the court neways, he'd get it of all magic.
I personaly think they should allow the option to fight with the crowd, therefor letting Ron Artest be on the cover. Maybe it'd say like... 12 games=useless.... 94 points=so so.... beating the shyt out of the guy who watched the dude who threw a bear out of you=priceless.... some things you cant pay for, for everythign else, there's Auburn Hills{that is where the stadium is right? lol}
