OK, I'm starting a Lakers dynasty (off DC, unless you people can really, really, really, REALLY convince me) and I made a preseason trade. Opinions wanted.
Memphis Grizzlies acquire: SG Kobe Bryant, SF Devean George
LA Lakers acquire: PG Jason Williams, SG Mike Miller, C Stromile Swift
Wanted to dump Kobe, start from scratch, and build the team the way I want them. Opinions...

Not really. Salaries play into this, you realize, and I had to throw in George to match them. Plus, I wanted to address several positions at once. I didn't want to trade for another blockbuster player and leave a gaping hole somewhere.

I personally would never give up kobe if started a Lakers chise, but I still think if you're giving him up you could have gotten a lot more quality, whether straight out talent or yound developing guys, or both

Well, if you have any suggestions for the criteria I posted above....I haven't played a game yet, and since you all think I did the stupidest thing in NBA history, suggest a trade for me, because I am resolved to dumping Kobe's sorry butt on someone else.

possibly a peja deal since he wants out anyway...maybe a deal for Kidd although hes aging that's prolly out of the question unless u truly want a sweet guard....and mayb a hinrich or gordan deal...possibilities are endless

Pretty much any combination of players on the Bulls roster works.
Also, if you do a Lakers franchise, without Kobe, I'd most definatly read.

If you trade Kobe to Chicago you should develop a story to bring Phil Jackson to the Bulls to reunite with two different pasts of his.

In real life = Very bad.
In the game = Great. While Mike Miller isn't as dynamic as Kobe, he can equal the point total. Because of the human element (you), this trade should greatly benefit you.

I did a Bulls trade....Bryant and George for Ben Gordon, Antonio Davis, amd Kirk Hinrich. Doesn't fix as much as the other trade, as I still have a glaring frontcourt need.
Also, it's either my hockey site or a second NBA one...take your pick...doesn't matter to me...

Don't matter, I doubt you would update a hockey one, so NBA.

I don't like Antonio Davis (maybe because he's more or less worthless), but I guess you had to get him to balance out salaries. I don't like the Bulls trade as much as the Memphis one, though, since Mike Miller would help you a lot more than more guards, which the Lakers already have like 20 of.

Ding. I like the Memphis trade because we get another shooter (Mike Miller, SG) a real point guard (Jason Williams) and an improving young inside player (Stromile Swift). How does that suck?
