According to his agent, Steven Hunter is close to a deal for the LLE in Philadelphia. Not the biggest of signings, but it gives the Sixers an athletic piece off the bench.
On a related note, Antoine Walker is supposed to meet with Sixers brass sometime between now and the middle of August. If he can't be had for the MLE, Billy King is prepared to consummate a sign-and-trade with Boston.

Uhh...Hunter is decent at best and Fatoine is probably running out of gas.

you know i have heard none of this and it seems as though every offseason or something you say a superstar is coming to PHI. Well, why in the heck would Philly want Fatione when they have Webber. Why would they want Hunter when they are "close" to a deal with Sammy D. Not being a smartalek, Alex, but man, it seems that Philly is the cornerstone for Superstar rumors.

Maybe you haven't heard these things because YOU LIVE IN FRIGGEN OHIO.
I'll tell you why the Sixers want Antoine, and it's quite simple - we have a vapid, one-sided starter at SF, a guy who lives and dies by the three with no other talent besides a knack for taking charges. We have no true backup PF, not one. When you factor in Walker's open-court passing (yes, he played point-forward in Boston and Dallas), he fits the mold perfectly as a third option in Philadelphia.
Steven Hunter comes cheap; who wouldn't give him a chance on the roster? Our only backup center is Marc Jackson, and you see how that works.

^ well DB, that's your fault for not having premium package cable.
I dont get your newspapers, but I get Foxsnews8, FSN, and some other PA based stations due to the fact Ashtabula is less than 15 miles from PA.

Yeah I hear most everything about the 76ers, Pirates, Steelers, and other teams in PA. Cuz those channels cover it. So yeah, I know about your teams.

^ well DB, that's your fault for not having premium package cable. I have over 500 channels with digital cable, dummy, and there's not a bit of Ohio news. I've been to Monroe, much closer to the border, and it's the same thing. |
