I think they're gonna bench JJ. JJ is a solid bench guy. Before the NAsh era in Phoenix, Johnson played bench role, and was great. I look to see him take that role in Atlanta.

No, Joe Johnson will start at point. That's the reason Atlanta wanted him, to gain an edge over smaller one-guards by converting a 6-7 slasher into a 6-7 distributor.

He might just bring the ball up court and dump it in to like Al Harrington or Marvin Williams, but still. That's one assist/turnover ratio I wouldn't eat off of.

Atlanta gonna have JJ at PG LOL! JJ doesn't have the handles. He's a 2 or 3, preferably a 2. Tyronn Lue will start at PG for the Hawks, I believe he's still with them. Lue is a f/a, he can't start unless he signs with them |

Johnson said in a recent radio interview that Phoenix was the best situation for him. This is rather interesting.

ATL has a lot of problems position wise. Most of their players are guards/ forwards AKA Childress, Harrington, J. Smith, Stoudamire, Johnson, Marvin Williams. They need big men and a point guard. They should of gone after Jerome James, Stromile Swift, or even Kwame Brown. They have a lot of work to do.

No they won't, because both are lottery-protected through 2008 or 2009 and the Hawks will be good enough by then to have a 10-14 pick.
The sign-and-trade hasn't been completed yet, so it's still an on-going discussion.
Or not, same thing.
