Shouldn't come as a surprise. Johnson disliked Phoenix. Not many teams really wanted to go after him. So Atlanta will be the place for Joe. But I think Phoenix will attempt a sign and trade.

Ya uh huh i doubt that, with Johnson, Williams, Smith, Childress, Stoudimare they are in the same boat as the Bulls, young and talented, just need time. And it did come to shock to me cause i dont follow phoenix sports so how do i know the situation down there.

Johnson hasn't proven he can lead a team. He sucked in Boston and he had Nash, Stoudamire, Marion, and Richardson in Phoenix. People had to worry about those three and Johnson was left to be a star. Well, he's the number one guy in Atlanta now, and his numbers will probably drop off significantly. The Hawk's wont be good until they can get at least three solid scorers and/or defenders, and they don't have that.
In addition, Sarver holds all the cards and I wouldn't be surprised to work out a sign-and-trade with Atlanta that would likely include Harrington and Childress, if not more. All Sarver needs to do is match the offer and then work out the trade, and I doubt Sarver just turns his attention elsewhere. He wants compensation for JJ and I expect he'll do everything in his power to get it.

JJ probably want to be a star on a team since he has to do better than amare, marion, and nash if he went to phoenix again.

Sign and trade, no doubt. The Suns aren't letting him go for nothing.
By the way, I forget, who'd they trade Richardson for?

They traded Richardson for Kurt Thomas and I think maybe a draft pick..don't quite remember.
As for Joe Johnson, he's pretty stupid for wanting to go to Atlanta. Sure, the Hawks have a ton of young talent right now, but the thing the Bulls had that the Hawks don't is good coaching. Scott Skiles is a decent NBA coach, while half of the people watching the NBA can't name Atlanta's coach. Sep, you seem like one of 5 people in the entire country that is still a Hawks fan...I wouldn't be surprised if they moved the team to Vegas or something.

Lol, thats funny, only 5 Hawk fans ;D and move to Vegas? they might do that, since the league is talking about having the 07 all star game in Vegas. So they would need an arena there.

Thomas and Mack Center is a VERY nice arena, especially for being approx 20 years old I believe. It seats right around 19k.... I believe they've done quite a bit of renovating to it recently.

I am sure that they do. I think that there may be an NBDL team there. I am not sure. The only problem is I do not think that they have the space for all of the fans. There already has been summer league games in Vegas.

The summer league games are played at the Cox Pavilion, much smaller space, kinda like your secondary gym/arena on a college campus. Well, technically, I guess it is since it's used for UNLV womens bball and volleyball. Usually these gyms/arenas seat like 3-5k.

Johnson hasn't even signed an offer sheet, but once he does, it rules out a sign-and-trade. Phoenix may just let him walk and go after a high-profile SG with Marion and/or Leandro Barbosa, at least that's what I've heard.

Atlanta gonna have JJ at PG LOL! JJ doesn't have the handles. He's a 2 or 3, preferably a 2. Tyronn Lue will start at PG for the Hawks, I believe he's still with them.
