When I first read Abdur-Rahim was gonna be a Net, I thought "Wow this is a huge break for them. They got a chance to do some damage this year."

But now that they have made public Abdur-Rahim's failed physical, he is mad and pissed with New Jersey and wants nothing to do with them. Tough break, and almost impossible now to convince him otherwise.

For the record, the Nets made it clear that they would NOT sign him if the mandatory physical was failed. Abdur-Rahim wanted an insured contract, but Rod Thorn laid out the gameplan from day one. Maybe Reef is just blowing smoke.

Hmmm, but still if I was in NJ managment I wouldn't announce publicly that a guy you're gonna sign failed his physical. Who else do they have at the PF? They really needed Reef. Now that's broken, I suspect they will chase Lorenzen Wright.

Opinions to the whereabouts of Reef?
