So basically, the Hawks have an eight-man ownership group that includes one Steve Belkin, a Boston businessman. He's the franchise's NBA governor, and has final say on roster matters. In this case, Belkin is literally blocking Joe Johnson-to-Atlanta.
He believes the team is giving up too much and refuses to even negotiate with Billy Knight. His managing partners are attempting to oust him, but to no avail. A court ruling this morning in Boston affirmed that, so the Hawks are pretty much out of the JJ race.
What does everyone think?

That is bad news.....cause I really liked Joe. And it is also good news.....cause they get to keep are picks and will get a PG and C in the upcoming drafts (i hope).

Isn't Belkin suing the others in the Hawks organization?

Trade's going through as the NBA is aiding the Hawks ownership group in the removal of Belkin. So the Hawks get the stupid trade done anyways.
