Averaged 21.6, 6.60 and 4.2. Plus he's not a complete dick to his teammates.

It just pains me to see someone act like such a fanboy, making oddball predictions about this kid and his skills compared to Michael Jordan. Sure he had great numbers, but those came on a crap team. He's never made the playoffs, won a ring, nothing. He's overhyped whether you want to admit it or not.

I'm not trying to compare the two, because I have said in the past, they aren't comparable in my opinion. Just thought I'd throw out some food for thought though. Chicago didn't break .500 until Jordan's 4th season and did not win a championship until his 7th. He put up some great numbers on crappy teams too...

Yep.
LeBron's team broke .500 in his second season, and all LeBron had was Z last season really. Jordan had Pippen who was very good.
Also, LeBron has something that Iverson, Pierce, McGrady, and all the other players don't. He has youth. LeBron is a leader at his young age. Iverson is a leader and always has been. But has LeBron ever not attended practice? Nope. Has LeBron ever been the subject of mulitple trade rumors? Nope. And has LeBron ever rode the pine for these past two years instead of starting? Nope.
My point is that LeBron is very young but is accomplishing all of this. These analysts all projected it to take some time for LeBron to be good in the NBA. Hell, some people said he might not be crap. But everyone KNEW Iverson and Pierce and McGrady were gonna be great. What I am saying is, LeBron has defied more odds than Kanye West has bling bling.

Why would LB be in trade rumors? Cleveland won't let him go. Even if LB wouldn't mind or wants to go to anthor team, Cleveland would bottle it up from the media, and probably pay LB more money to stay in Cleveland. Just said this to break one of your points.  |

It looks like someone made a post that should have ended the debate. LeBron has hype sure but because of potiental more than anything. People have to remember the kid is like a junior in college this season. No 20 year old has dominated the game in the way he has, he just needs a load of maturity to be able to handle the role he has put himself in to. That's the reason you can't compare him to anyone, especailly after only two years in the league. People that want to say he's God, shut up, and people who want to diss the guy, shut up. Good Day |
