As if having only the greatest player ever (not named Michael) on your team, then picking up a solid #2 guy. Wasn't enough of an off-season, the Cavs have just signed Damon Jones...uh oh watch out Eastern Conference. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2154564Thoughts?

Figured I'd throw my two cents in on this.
The Cavaliers won't be any better than a 7th or 8th seed, and that's if they play great team basketball from beginning to end. It all comes down to their divisional record. That's 12 meetings with Detroit, Indiana, and Chicago - not an easy task by any means.
Not to mention LeChoke James has proven nothing in his career as a leader. Larry Hughes has never been a leader. Drew Gooden? Donyell Marshall? Damon Jones? Maybe Zydrunas Ilgauskas, but c'mon!
Cleveland isn't even close to being a top team. A tiny addition like this is irrelevant.

When has James 'chocked' he has carried this team since he was 18...he has never chocked, he has never had a supporting cast.

He's a great player, but he's the type that doesn't care about his teammates, which hurts him.

Larry Hughes was obviously there best signee. He plays amazing defense, creating about 5 TO's a game.

I see the Cavs barely making a 7th spot this season.

Cleveland isn't even close to being a top team. A tiny addition like this is irrelevant. Irrelevant? My friend if you guys got Damon Jones you would be like "OMG DAMON JONES IS TEH S3XORZ OMG!" yeah. Hardly irrelevant. We get a 3 point shooter and a decent passer. LeChoke James? Again, Alex, I must dispute. LeBron is a true leader. He is 20 years of age, and is the face of the franchise. He leads the Cavaliers in terms of attitude, scoring, passing, and stealing. He cares about winning in Cleveland. It isnt him who chokes- the team chokes. I admit we are not amazing yet. But Jones, Hughes, James, Gooden, and Ilgauskus is a great lineup. The bench, with Marshall, Jackson, Snow, Varejao, Newble, Pavlovic, etc is decent. But 7th or 8th seed? Nah. I think 5th or 6th. Iverson, Pierce, Webber, O'Neal, etc don't take apart from the fact that the Cavaliers have as good a chance as anyone to win and win big. Just look at this we were 17-65 the year we didnt have Bron. Then we were 37-45. Last season = 42-40. Now tell me that since LeBron has come we haven't gotten better. That is not CHOKING, Alex my boy. It is leading the team to be the best they can be at this stage. </rant>

A leader is a guy who when the team takes a loss, it's HIS responsibility. When the team wins, it was great leadership by the leader.
So far, the Cavs have sucked. LeChoke hasn't been able to lead his team. And it's his responsibility. He's no MJ, nowhere close. I see them hitting the 8th spot in the playoffs.

I'd like to see the Cavs in the playoffs, just so I could see the Pistons beat up on him every time he goes to the lane for at least 4 games. It'd be fun to watch Big Ben bodyslam the guy flat on his back if he tried to drive the lane, maybe step on him while going for a rebound and break a few ribs..that'd be cool.
Yeah..I'm not really a fan of LeBron's. Can you tell?
