Insidehoops.com is reporting Paul Pierce has been traded to the DENVER NUGGETS for Nene and Andre Miller!

You know nothing about Earl Watson if you're saying he's "terrible to be leading a team". The Nuggets signed him to a deal for a purpose.

Earl Watson may be good, but he's ugly. Defend him now HAHA
On Watson, he was only average at UCLA, who would've thought he would've turned in to a decent player. Key word = decent

Earl I think is also a good pick up for Denver in this rotation. lets look at the line-up again:
PG - Earl Watson SG - Paul Pierce SF - Carmelo Anthony PF - Kenyon Martin C - Marcus Camby
We have here 4 talented first round draft picks in their respected draft times. All of them would like to get a lot of points and score, Earl could be another Jason Williams or John Stockton who doesn't score much but can dish the ball and keep the game up beat. Now behind Watson would be the quick and short Earl Boykins who I thought did a great job last season for the Nuggests for only standing 5-5 against some tall 6-0+ guards. Now he is no Spud Webb but who is ;-)
Earl Watson doesn't seem like the BEST player for the job when you think about the talented guards out there right now. I still think he is a good pick up at this point IF Paul moves from Boston to Denver in exchange for Andre Miller and Nene.

Well Boston could throw out 5 PGs and still have one on the bench if this happens.

Hmm..now we screwed our selves even more in the foot. Hey, let's trade Raef LaFrentz for Michael Stewart!

Hasn't been reported by any other sites, and WEEI (Boston's sports radio) is shooting it down, saying they talked to Ainge. Now, I know that doesn't mean it isn't going to happen, but I'm a bit skeptical.
On a more important note, Red Auerbach has been hospitalized. My thoughts and prayers go out to Red and his family.

1) A person high in the Celtics organization contacted InsideHoops that the rumor was incorrect.
2) Thank god.

Buuuuut the C's are still going to have to deal him at some point. A trade for Andre Miller doesn't make much sense. Just my opinion, but if they're going to trade Pierce they're going to look for a good big man, since Raef LaFrentz is code for "Eleventy-Billion Dollar Contract With Bad Knees". A good big man will get you a good seeding in the Eastern Conference playoffs..no doubt.
The thing is, I don't think the C's could get an equal exchange for Pierce..they'll have to end up trading him for 75 cents on the dollar. A deal like that would look bad on paper, but if they're able to free up the cap space by getting rid of Pierce and maybe replace him with 2-3 players for the same price, it would end up working out for the C's. Boston has a lot of good quality young players, so it's not like they'd suddenly be a losing team if they got rid of Pierce. Jefferson and Green will be one of the best duos in the entire NBA in a couple years, so at worst the C's are looking at a 2 year lull in which they won't be able to advance past the first round of the playoffs (and they will get to the playoffs...their division is absolutely horrible)

The Atlantic isn't that bad anymore, with NJ and Philly suddenly acting like tough guys.
