Well, the game is very good. The graphics seem to have minor improvements here and there, but nothing earth-shattering. Freestyle superstars definitely changes the game, but you have to get used to it...when to use the moves you have at your disposal and which ones to use. Rosters suck, as of 8/4 and just about no second round picks. Dynasty mode is pretty much the same, save for addition of staff and one of my favorite new features, player evolution....in which a spotlighted player's body type and superstar abilities change from year to year. It's very cool and adds something completely new to dynasty mode - using your assistant coach in hopes of making a young gun into a superstar. I plan on using this feature to make Chris Paul a playmaker. Gameplay is similar to last year, but a little more realistic. The spin move can't blow by anyone anymore, you have to work your way to the basket. Shooting is improved this year, but you gotta work on timing your shot. Pro hop once again is not deadly at all. Overall, a very good experience and fun to play. And bibby, Sarunas Jasikevicius sucks in the game If anyone has any questions regarding the game or player ratings, I'll answer them - I'll be back in a half hour or so to answer any posted questions.

Well, for a hardcore football fan....no, I doubt that. But if you like basketball a lot like me and Alex, definitely. But for a big football favorite like you, doubtful.

If you really don't know, why don't you just rent it first. I'm still a little iffy if Live's gameplay is the same though. I really want a basketball game though, so I gotta see a 2k review before I make my decision.

I'm excited to see how the 2k series has improved their Association Mode, because last year's version sucked in my eyes.

Is there any improvements to all-star weekend? That was so cool IMO last year.

All star weekend was cool but it got a little boring for me. Hopefully, they can make it even better. I am sure this game is good from what DB and Alex are saying.

Wow ASM...Texas beats Ohio State ONCE..and you let it go to your head. once is all it takes, plus we will beat you again next year in Austin...think about it, you loose like all your LB's that kept you in that game, and I think you loose Santoino(sp?)....and once again Vince Young will silencer doubters and beat OSU again

OK, can we get back on topic? How is it blocking shots? I like to play the center and always get the guy who tries to drive to the hoop.

It isn't "virtually the same". If anything, Live 06 is a step-up from Live 05's gameplay engine with an improved frame rate (think Live 03 and 04). All in all, it's awesome.

If you have a guy that is great at finishing (i.e. highflyer) versus an average defender, the block rate will obviously be lower. On the flipside, an inside stopper versus an average finisher will result in a higher block rate. In general, the snuffs are under control.

What about steals? I had a ridiculous amount of steals in 05...

Steals, blocks, dunks/layups can all be fixed through sliders.
