Okay, Live 06 for 360 is gonna suck.

The gameplay aspects are awesome....but this is what gets me:

"With most any series transition to next-generation consoles, some longtime features have to be dropped in order to meet deadlines. This is especially true for sports games these days as they're almost all replete with deep franchise modes, create-a-player options, additional gameplay types and more. That means no dunk contest, no three-point shootout, and no Superstar Freestyle moves."

Absolutely horrible. This is basically going to be NBA Live 95 with next-gen graphics and updated rosters, with the main feature being "Play Now." I don't care what their excuse is, this is absolute crap. If I hear anything similar about Madden 360, I'm cancelling my preorder of the 360.

The 360 isn't the problem, it's the slackers at EA Sucks that are crap.

Remember, this game will cost $60.

If 2k6 has franchise, I'm gonna put my $60 down on that, not a game with no franchise or other features that seperate Live from 2k.

i read somewhere (don't have link anymore) that they both, madden and live, will have dynasty/owner/whatever mode..... and the franchise mode for madden is even more in depth than the current gen releases.... don't know how, just what I've read. I've been reading up a lot on the next gen games in order to deside what to buy. I've already pre-ordered both 2k6 and live (until I decide which I want), and PGR3.

Confirmed: Live does NOT have any type of franchise mode.
Confirmed: Madden does NOT have Owner Mode, but there is a 30 year long regular franchise mode.

I looked at a gameplay video for Madden Next Gen and the game looked like ESPN NFL 2K5 plus the QB vision. NBA's live's demo looked cool but I guess EA aint ready for the next gen.

The player models and graphics on Madden 360 are not anywhere close to done, so don't get too bummed out yet.

Pretty cool new video of how the next gen systems (supposed to be similar in 07 for ps3 and 360) menu screens will work...... hides the loading times by allowing you to still be active, which seems to be a trend in all the next gen games

I'm still not sold on either of the NBA games yet.... I've preordered both so that hopefully by release day, I know which to get.

That's why I'm waiting for the PS3 launch. Microsoft set a hard launch date and deadline for their launch titles. But giving game producers so long to create a game with a new game engine to build a game from is difficult. The first gen games on "next gen" systems always suck. Espcially on sports titles. I put the blame on Microsoft for wanting to rush the release just like Sega, we all saw what happened there. EA and other companies wanted to make the best game they could thats playable, don't cancel your preorders just don't go right out and sell your xbox. All 07 games for the 360 and hopefully, if the PS3 is out by then, will be just as inovative in game modes and extras and not an updatee of graphics and rosters...

After watching this, I noticed some things which would drive me up the wall. 1, the whistling constantly...... if I got 2k6, definitly seems like a game I'd play with the sound down and music up, didn't like the arena sounds at all. 2, the cheerleaders cheering while the road team scored..... etc...... there were some tiny things I didn't like.

Graphically, I saw nothing groundbreaking. I think Live looks better on the 06, just from what's been released. I know 2k6 gameplay is supposed to be better but nothing really impressed me. I didn't like some of the AI that showed in the videos. Maybe someone will watch these and can say whether the gameplay in these videos seem to be like the current-gen or what........

Still not sure which to get yet, but I think Live might be pulling ahead right now in my book....
