Dang, this dude is back strong.
16 points, 9 rebounds, and 14 assists in his season opener. Thoughts?

I think it's way too early to tell whether this can be expected every night. I do think he is a dynamic player.
BTW, what is up with your new sig/avi? Not even I thought you could think up stuff that dumb.

Allen Iverson was defending him ... like he's really going to be strapped down defensively.

I though he played great but its only the first game. He did a good job in the final seconds finding someone who could make the three instead of him shooting it.

Law of averages...it'll even out with a few 3/45 shooting nights.

na, i watched this kid so much in college, one of the reasons i started to like Texas in the first place. He has the talent to do it every night, but right now I doubt he will do it, mind this is basiclly his rookie season. With the back and all. In 2 or 3 years this kid will be the next Jason Kidd

In 2 or 3 years this kid will be the next Jason Kidd No, he won't. I highly doubt he'll be able to come close to a triple-double every single night.

might be more than 2 or 3, but it will happen mark my words...
and Kidd needs to get 4 more boards a game to average a triple double, and 1 more assist. just pointing out the facts

Uhm...he would've been a top candidate for ROY if he wouldn't have hurt his back a couple years ago. If LeBron wasn't in that same draft class, I'm almost positive he would've won ROY that year...that's how good he was. When he got hurt, the Bucks were in line for like the 3rd or 4th seed in the East, and they slipped down to 8th and backed into the playoffs with him out.

TJ Ford will be good, but he's no Jason Kidd. That's all I'm saying. It's an inaccurate comparison because they're two completely different players.

scoring wise Kidd blows Ford out of the water, he isnt much of a scorer. But passing Ford reminds me a lot of JKidd. Rebound he is fearless, reminds me of a game where Ford went over some like 6' 4" or something guy and threw down a dunk over him. I went nuts

The fearless rebounding is why he ended up breaking his vertabrae in the first place. Anyway, tonight Ford scored 20, but only had 3 boards and 5 assists as the Bucks beat NJ 110-96. He's off to a good start, but their next game is home against Miami, so we'll see just how good the Bucks really are.
As far as comparisons to T.J. Ford go, he's got the passing skills of Jason Kidd, the heart of Allen Iverson, but the shooting skills of a poo-flinging monkey. At least he plays defense.

Ford's size isn't too impressive either, is it? If I recall correctly he's like under 6 ft. and skinny.
Still a talented PG, but yeah, his shooting isn't too hot.

he wasnt drafted to shoot, he was drafted to be a leader, and i would say he is doing a great job, 2-0 with a team that many thought would suck again this year, granted it is ealy, they beat a good NJ team tonight. We will see if they can last the whole season.

T.J. is a team leader personality, I got the chance to talk to him back in HS, where he went to Willowridge, yea hes small, was only a little bigger than me at the time. He also the quickest player in the NBA, just watch down the road he will make fools of people. BTW: he can shoot, he just won't do it that often, you won't ever see a "3/45" night for him because he will never take 45 shots. Hes going to play much like an early Jason Kidd, he will be in the top five every healthy year now for assist, and probably average around five rebounds a game. I would not be suprised to see him double-double almost everynight, with a few triples thrown in for good mesure.
