Believe it or not, AI makes only $16.5M in 2005-06 as opposed to Webber's $19.1M. That's $1.1M more than KG's.

if KG goes, there is no point in me loving the twolves. then again, i dont mind new york....OR CHARLOTTE! hey, they could kinda work. trade wallace, okafor and maybe ten other player and you might reach his salary lol. charlotte are fine as they are, but the wolves could always realease him, get some cap space(coz he'd be gone like that) sign a free agent and then trade schzerbiak and a random to charlotte for 2 players.will it work? no

Releasing KG? Are you kidding me? That would back them up more than trading him...one, they get absolutely nothing for arguably the best player in the NBA (one of the best either way) and two you can't just release someone, you gotta buy them out or pay them something, since he has a guaranteed contract.
No doubt they'd get value in return for him. How much is the question. Dumping KG wouldn't be all that bad. You can get 2 or 3 solid players in return for one superstar, and you never know, it might work. Look at team-oriented groups like the Pistons.

The Timberwolves will be getting something in exchange for Kevin Garnett. They'd be stupid to just release him for nothing.
Edit: Here's an idea that I got to work on realgm:
2620697
Teams involved: Minnesota, Boston
Boston Gets: Kevin Garnett, Troy Hudson Minnesota Gets: Paul Pierce, Raef LaFrentz
Not sure how that would work out realistically, though, since I don't know Boston's point guard situation. It works financially, though, and it would give two disgruntled superstars new environments.
