College is nowhere near equal to the NBA. In fact, many rules and such aren't the same.
Plus, the way you worded it wasn't really an assumption. I wouldn't say "Tell me this, mistress" is an assumption.

king james, you could have won the argument by focusing on the NBA players not getting respected treatment, but blew it by going back to the NCAA...

Michael Jordan used to be able to take 12 steps to the basket, Karl Malone never got called for throwing elbows in the post when he had the ball, Reggie Miller got free throws every time someone looked at him while he was shooting, Shaq charges half the time when he's in the post...in the NBA, once you're an established perennial All-Star, you get the benefit of the doubt from the refs. It's one of the reasons why I prefer NCAA ball over NBA ball.
