Larry Brown got 1,000th win against the Hawks tonight. The win also gives the Knicks their first six-game winning streak since the '00-'01 season.

Fourteen years in the making ... a 3OT Sixers game, something I had never witnessed before today. I don't know if I can even sleep after this.
By the way, tonight marked Boston's FIRST-EVER loss in 3OT.

...that sure didn't make a lot of sense ASM.
Anyway, the Celtics are defining new ways to give up close games. How can you not pay attention after an inbounds pass?

When Celtics.com doesn't know the stats of the game, you know the team is lacking.

I thought this topic was about Larry Brown....
But anyway, Larry seems to be getting along better with Stephon Marbury. Do you think he'll allow Starbury to be more creative out there now?

Well....no.
Larry is Larry, and he is strong in his beliefs. He sticks with what he believes is right, even if it's not for the best. He's all for fundamentals, and he's gonna keep it that way.

But by that logic, the NBA has evolved into a league where the point guard is going to have to be the most creative player on the floor, as to get his teammates into optimum scoring position. I don't see why LB wouldn't let Marbury do a few no looks, behind the backs, or let him go for 30 a game.

Marbury's a bum. Every team he has ever been on became better after his departure.
Minnesota New Jersey Phoenix
He's not a point guard and never will be. He's a shoot-first bum.

But then again, if he were to somehow go to your 76ers without giving up AI and Webber, you'd love him and praise him. Don't deny it either. He's an amazing player. He made it to the NBA, something most people never will do. And if he's averaging 15+ ppg and 6+ apg, you aren't a bum in my opinion.

Here we go with the whole "oh blah blah if he went to ur team ud love him LOLOL" argument. No I wouldn't. I think he is a cancer and I don't want him. The Sixers are past their prime and will slip into rebuilding mode in a few years. I want them to build around a solid defensive core and leave bums like Marbury out of the picture.

But what you want and what they are going to do are two different things. I personally would love Marbury on the Cavaliers. I could honestly see him, Larry Hughes, and King James on the floor together sharing the ball. I wouldn't mind it at all. As for your 76ers Alex, I imagine they are going to go to the lottery this year maybe and draft a solid defender. Maybe someone like Daniel Gibson, Taj Gray, or Paul Davis. Solid defenders there, and I imagine that they would get the defensive intensity that both you and they want.

Wow, Larry Hughes and Lebron would have their stats crushed if Marbury joined the team. All Marbury can do is shoot and make some fancy passes every once in a while. He turns the ball over too much for the amount of assists he gets too, not to mention Cleveland would be in salary cap hell and have to get rid of a lot of key players.
As for the Sixers, they're still the 7 seed right now. Calling them a lottery team is a bit of push, especially seeing how weak the East is and that they go on a little skid and everyone calls them off. Daniel Gibson is an awful pick anyway for them. They still have AI, and even if they move him to the 2, they're defense would be atrocious with 2 guys only 6 feet tall on the court. Taj Gray and Paul Davis would be nice, but if we're this lottery team you call us, why wouldn't we go for guys like Shelden Williams, who are actually lottery picks rather than mid-to-late 1st rounders...
