Has Yao finally established himself as an elite center? I never thought he would be able to put up these numbers consistently.

Yao has just recently established himself as an elite center? He's been a major threat since his second season.

Actually Yao has never been an elite center really until now IMO. He's always been too conservative. He never had shot more than 20 in a game up until this year I beileve, and to be a dominant center you have to do that a little more often. Also, he's not playing like a stiff any more. He's really playing aggressive on both sides of the court.
Now granted, only 5 of those teams are playoff teams and of those, most are either poor rebounding and/or defensive teams, so that should be expected...

He's 7-6. He should be getting those in one half.

He's always been an elite center... But in these last nine games he's been able to keep himself outta foul trouble, allowing him to play longer. That sums up to greater stats.
