You must not know that the Red Sox have had some collapses in the 16 years I've been alive. Well, obviously you weren't a fan anywhere from 5 or under pretty much. But they have more World Series in your lifetime than most teams have, but I'll go ahead and give you that.
In 2004, I had a rough year with the Lakers
God forbid your team goes one year without a playoff berth. Weren't they 9th in the West that year? Again, they just happened to win some titles along the way... Sorry to hear about a 2nd place finish for nearly your whole life when teams like the Royals, Expos/Nationals, Reds, Brewers, etc. never got there in the last 10 years or so. And that terrible year they had in '03... I would have stopped rooting if my team sucked that bad. But nope, this team never stopped buying players, and they went from 2nd place in the AL East to World Champs!!! You never see that. Sep already pwned you here, so I'll move on. One of which you were'nt alive for, the other everyone saw. No need to go out and buy tapes of them. I had no idea that you were a Lakers fan before you were 5 years old (or actually probably younger) when you were a hardcore Lakers fan. All those tough years of Shaq and Kobe must have worn you out though. Sorry to hear about those 3 championships you've won during your lifetime (actually probably more now that I think about it). Especially when the Eastern Conference has won probably less than that ever since MJ retired from the Bulls...

Moving onnnnn....
Good game on ESPN right now, game one of the East Finals. Pistons and Heat locked in a tight one.

I hate bandwagoners for my teams.
Also, the Mighty Ducks were in the Stanley Cup in 02/03, and god forbid they have an off season before getting into the Western Conference Semifinals..

...no, really? I've been in a cave and saw NONE of the game.
Well, bloody hell. We can still win, although the Heat trolls are gonna be out in full force until Thursday.
This team worries me. 4 home losses in the entire regular season and 2 already through 2 rounds of playoff games. Something's wrong here.

Well both of these teams have shown the ability to play well and the ability to play badly during these playoffs. So unless we see consistent basketball from either team this series will be up in the air until the final buzzer in Game 7. However, Detroit could just win four in a row, but Miami has to win in 6 if not I think Detroit wins.

I just Detroit will play defense in Game 2... 52% shooting is not where Miami should be at all

I'm more worried about our own shooting. We couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in the fourth quarter.

True I think 37% was the figure.. not very good at all

y couldn't the pistons had played like that in game 7. Cleveland would have probably still lost, cause we only shot like 37%, but it would have been a closer game.

Well if game 1 was any indicator of how this series will be played out, this western conference finals will be an entertaining one.

Tonight we need to even the series because the Piston have never won a series when trailing 0-2. Hopefully we can shoot the ball tonight and stop the Heat from shooting over 50%

No matter what, never write off the Pistons. They really haven't been forced into a situation where they fell behind 0-2, save for last year's Finals where we very easily could have (and should have) won the series.
But a win tonight would be very nice indeed.

No matter what, never write off the Pistons. Lesson learned about the series verse the Magic way back. Down 3-1. Then, whattya know, Pistons win. ;D

Ironically, that was the first year the 1st round was best-of-seven. A year earlier, Orlando would have won that series >_>
Next 2 games will be huge. Game three tonight.

Was that when McGrady thought he won the series?
