I still don't understand why everyone is so obsessed with Tyrus Thomas now. I know he had a great tourney, but where was he before this? I'd rather see him play another year in college and see if he's for real before I'd pick him so early. I know they say that Aldridge is a little soft, but I'm not bought on Thomas at all, so if I'm the Bulls, I'd take Aldridge in a heart-beat... a bird's heart-beat for that matter... Tyrus is kinda in the same situation than MArvin Williams was last year. Williams, didn't have special season or tourney (except for a huge game vs. Duke), but he was a freshman with huggggge amounts of potential. i think scouts saw what thomas did in the tourney this year and then saw his season tape and said "wow this guys doing all this as a freshman, he's got great potential" i think Tyrus would never have come out this early even if he had a above average tourney, but since he was just so damn good in march, i think him and his agent felt that your at your collegiate peak, now go get the lottery pick and big money.

Marvin Williams almost didn't even go to UNC. He would have been a top fifteen pick if he'd have come out after high school. Going to UNC just pushed him into the top two.
