That ... really doesn't make any sense to me. The Raps seemed to be so enamored by LaMarcus Aldridge, and they already have Bosh. This just screams Bargnani or Morrison.
It also suggests that Villanueva may be on the move.

It wouldn't make too much sense to have Villanueva and Aldridge coming off the same bench, and then with other guys like Joey Graham as well. That's a little too much depth for one spot on a team that needs some serious help in the backcourt with Mike James gone...

Aldridge could play center for the Raps. So Aldridge and Villanueva come off the bench, Chris Bosh don't have to work as hard. |

Your right the Raps don't have a true center... so they should get Alrdridge, who's a natural PF to play center?

I think this trade will be in the favor of Raptors who have been kind of lacking in the middle. Even with Bosh there, he can't go back and forth from C to PF so now he can have the PF role and not have to switch all the time. I just hope Rasho performs for them and they give him minutes  |2uff |

Just some thoughts:
1. The Raps will never ever trade CV (I hope)
2. CV prob wont come off the bench cause he can play SF. Here's the Raps line-up so far:
C - Nestrovic
PF- Bosh
SF- CV
SG- Mo-Pete
PG-James or someone in the draft
3. The raps are reportedly big on Brandon Roy of UConn (I think he is from Conn) and would like to move down and take him

The Raps dump salary? What are Bonner and Williams getting paid?! You just took on $24 million worth of contract in Rasho.... I am VERY sure williams and bonner don't come close to combining to Rasho's salary.... that was a move fully for the Spurs to dump salary and get a little more athletic. Don't be surprised if one or both of the two don't make the final roster. Well, I guess now with the more relaxed IR rules, then they both might.... but hell, Rasho's contract was 5 years, $40 mill! |

Keeping Matt Bonner on the roster would be ideal, he played well last year. Although, he won't see much time with the Spurs unless he amplifies his game.

Oh Robino, wait until you see just how crappy, whiny and expensive Eric Williams is. Trust me on this one.  And yes, mathematically, you guys dump salary. But I'm talking about dumping really unwanted salary. Getting rid of 4.5 mil for a 9th or 10th man in exchange for our starting centre...and with Bonner's 2 mil contract, we're only getting about 800K in salary. It's a dump in a sense that Eric Williams was the biggest waste of money ever, and we got rid of his contract. |

I'm fully aware Williams will fit into the elder overpriced big man role SA so covets... but what is he getting paid? It can't be ANYWHERE near Rasho's numbers and I know that he only has a year left on his contract, another obvious big plus for the spurs...
