Utah either dropped out of the other three-way or BOS/PHI cut off talks with them because their offer was crappy.
So, Cleveland jumped right in and is dangling Larry Hughes.
Andy Katz said all this on the ESPN Draft Special this evening.
Iverson to the Celtics, Szczerbiak to the Cavaliers, Hughes to the 76ers (PRIMARILY).

This would be a terrible trade for the Sixers and the Cavs, but a steal for the Celts.

Boston's latest offer to the Sixers consists of Wally Szczerbiak, #7, and another player or two. Cleveland dropped out.
Things are heating up.

no way cavs will trade away larry for szerbiack. We need to keep him, as well as bring in a sharp shooter. put flip or some1 else on the market. NOT LARRY!

A backcourt of West and Iguodala would probably be the best fit if Iverson has to go. Then in the draft if they can get someone like Cedric Simmons that would be a pretty sick deal.

I would assume this trade is dead. Boston deals their #7 to Portland for Sebastian Telfair. I can't believe that the AI trade would go through...the Sixers can't possibly be stupid enough to trade AI to a team in their division, can they?

This deal is far from dead. The Celtics and Sixers have been talking all day long. They need a third party to get this done shortly after the draft.
And as for the Sixers being stupid, I agree, but have you considered how big of a disaster two ballhogs sharing the same backcourt would be?
I actually welcome this trade if we can get youth.
