You name off some of the good players, but what about the 200+ players that haven't done jack when drafted? You mean second round picks, guys who aren't given first round opportunity? Don't forget that a few international first rounders are still playing internationally until teams have a need for them. Also ... what about AMERICAN players who haven't done "jack" in the NBA?

ASM, if Portland snagged the first pick and for some reason chose Bargnani, I guarantee you would love the guy.

ASM you're a dumbass... Portland had probably the greatest draft out of any other team in the league, but you go and say they're doing terrible now. LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy are gonna be scary...

Yes because the same people that drafted Sam Bowie are still running the Blazers. I also doubt that many of them are around since the Jermaine O'Neal trade, seeing how it was almost 7 years ago, but even still, one bad trade is made, and you call the whole management awful? Isn't it hyopcritical of you to say that unproven international players aren't going to be any good for the most part, yet say that unproven high school players, such as Jermaine who hadn't done anything in his career yet, will turn into amazing players? And besides, Rasheed Wallace, love him or hate him, was still the face of the Blazers then, putting up 20/8 a game, so O'Neal wouldn't have had much playing time anyways...
Oh, and by the way, who found a way to get 2 of the 10 best players in the draft? Blazers management did. So by you saying the front office sucks, you are forgetting how they've started to turn around...

Wanna talk bad front offices? Talk Atlanta. Or Philly.
I know a bad front office when I see one, and Portland - RIGHT NOW - is not one of them.

Portland's trades weren't bad. They just weren't necessary. Portland probably could have landed Aldridge at 4 and in 10 years Foye > Roy. Same with the later trades. They got good players, the trades just weren't necessary. Portland did a good job all things considered.
The trade with Boston was brilliance, though. Two impact players in one draft. What more can you ask for?

Sure did. This guy has all the tools to be a star. Don't get me wrong, Brandon Roy will be a great player, but Foye has All-Star written all over him.

....and Foye doesn't have that? He has everything Roy has and more.
No, Foye will be a star. Roy won't ever match Foye. It's not a matter of who will get more opportunities: Foye's the better player.

Foye reminds me very much of Dwyane Wade.

Foye's the only player taken in this draft that has drawn comparisons to Wade.
Trust me ... I watched Randy's entire collegiate career at Villanova. He made a three-guard system work fantastically, and he's the ultimate combo guard. If anyone has the potential to become the next Wade, it's Randy Foye.

Damnit, why the hell do Foye and Roy have to rhyme... it hurts my brain...
And I've always thought Foye was like a Chauncey Billups kind of player. Billups never struck me as a true point guard like what you see in Kidd and Nash, but he still gets 6 assists per game (although he got more this year). Foye doesn't really have the jumper that Billups has, but he seems like he still finds a way to get his share of points.
But to be honest, I don't know which of the two I'd rather have now. So rather than take the risk of being wrong, I'll just root for both of them...
Oh and ASM, Brandon Roy will not ever be a triple double threat. He averaged 5.5 rebounds in college, and not even 5 asssists...

Roy isn't even a point guard. He's a 2 by trade. I know they have McCants so they might start him at the 1, but something queer's going on if your shooting guard is dishing out 10 assists per night.

He's thinking Foye, the little PHAILURE

Yes, my mistake. I confuse the two easily. Like McGahee said, they rhyme....
Foye should play point guard in Minnesota, which is a great fit, he'll be able to score it and dish it.
If Roy's gonna play the 3 in Portland, he's gonna be out of position. He's a bit undersized at 6-6/207.
