I usually go pretty deep in a b-ball dynasty, but that's because I never play an 82 game season.
The longest may have been like 10 seasons though. The longest dynasty I've ever played was 20 years on NCAA Football.

I just saw that even though IGN wasn't big on 2K8, it still got a full point higher than Live. Hmm.

I got the last copy of 2K8.
Phew. Would have sucked to have to rent Live instead.

Bought Live, rented 2k8. 2K8 handles a little better, but the graphics aren't as good. I can't stomach looking at 2k8 more than I can stomach Live's above average gameplay.

Ok i played a lenghty game of Live with a friend and I just cant get use to it....the only hoops game I've played since last November was CHOOPS 2K7 and am so use to that games' controls....Live's controls just feel foreign to me now. The game has made some improvements and is better than the other Live's on next gen systems.
I too couldnt stand 2K8's graphics but obviosuly played better since the controls are similiar to CHOOPS. I actually think I wont buy either game this year and will wait to see what CHOOPS 2K8 has to offer.

If you can't stand 2K8's graphics....what makes you think you'll like Choops? They're basically the same thing.

I dunno...I just cant warm up to 2K8's graphics. I expect that a next gen pro sports game would have some great graphics but 2Ks is down right crap. Live just looks and feels like an NBA game cause of the environment, presentation, etc. In college games, things dont have to be perfect (players, crowd, etc) but it just has that fun, college feel.
Im just an EA fanboy and when it comes down to it, I'd rather play Live than 2K.
But i think im just goin to wait for CHOOPS 2K8 to come out next month.

I agree with Baze. College graphics don't have to be perfect....its college. I mean pro sports should look better.
Blaze, you should just rent Live and play it for a while. I'm getting used o the controls too. Especially with the sho ot and dunk buttons being different.

I dont have to rent it because one of my floormates in my dorm has the game....I've played it when I had some freetime and I just cant get use to it. The game looks beautiful and the atmosphere makes it feel like an NBA game but I am just going to by CHOOPS 2K8 in November.

That's cool. I think I may get March madness. I haven't bought that since 2005, I think with Carmelo on the cover or was that 2004? I have CHoops 2k7 for my PS3 since they didn't make MM that year.

They don't seem to vary much from year to year. I probably wou;dn't have bought one either if Live still played like last year's version
