ROY CP3 has the cover. I heard there's a dunk contest. Not sure if its in season though.

NBA Live 08 most definetly. They're revamping this game the same way they did Madden and NCAA. Besides, my man Gilbert Arenas is on the cover. The game impresses me a lot.

Since they both release the same day, I'm going to rent them and see which game that I prefer. Live has really been crap for the past two years.....

You can't completely fix the Live disaster in a year. For now, 2K8 is still the best.

Libe 05,06,07 were gross. I only played 07 for about 5 minutes at my dads, but it took long enough.
All Star Weekend is the only thing it has over 2K. Maybe get rid of Bill Walton and it's perfect.

I think I'm, leaning towards Live. I've heard that 2k8 is basically 2k7.
I have to give EA credit for tearing this game down and starting it back up pretty much from scratch.

2K has been virtually the same game for a while....good and bad, good cause they can't screw it up and bad cause there's nothing really new. Course, with the state of Live in recent years, it hasn't mattered.

That's what I think it is. So now 2k is goingto have to step it for 2k9 because Live is making a serious comeback....

I'm not making any judgments about Live until I play it. It looks great every year, then it comes out and it's crap again.

I couldnt play either demos but i saw youtube videos of them and am too leaning towards live.....I havent bought an NBA game since the awesomness that was Live 04 but that'll probably change this year.

I feel you, my last game was Live 2005 and that's because they implemented the dunk contest that year. Which I think is really going to give my dynasty a more complete feel. You know Josh Smith is going to be in that contest.
