I like this trade for both teams. Wade and Marion will be a good duo, and if Miami can get another supporting cast like they had a few years ago, they could do some damage.
For the Suns, they now have a big to compete with Duncan in the playoffs, and can move Amare to his natural PF spot.

lol terrible trade for the suns
btw its a good thing they decided to replay the end of the hawks/heat game since they made shaq foul out with 5 fouls.

lol terrible trade for the suns Also Marion would've been gone at the end of the year anyway, he had already expressed his feelings about Phoenix. So mys well take a gamble, get a big defensive presence in Shaq for the playoffs so you can try to win a title.

shaq foul out with 5 fouls. Um. Ok? What? You think it's fair for shaq to get 5 and everyone else to get 6?

horrible for the Suns. Sure Shaq is dominant and all but his body is wearing down on him. He's missed numerous games this year cause of injuries. It wont help him if he goes to a team that runs all the time. Shaq will be hauling ass up and down the floor and will only get touches if the Suns decide to slow the game down.
and it'll be interesting to see him play against the Lakers since those two teams are rivals.

They'll sit Shaq, or at least not play him much til the playoffs. He'll be 100% to go then, and he is a better Duncan defender than Marion (which is why this trade was made imo). And they will slow it down for him, cause you have to play halfcourt to beat the Spurs.

I like this trade from the heat's perspective. That goes hand and hand with not liking it for the suns.

Hasn't Shaq only missed like six games? 15 this year, so about a third. He played in 40 last year and 59 the year before. His production has steadily declined over the past four years, and he's owed another 2 years at 20M per.

They beat the Spurs last night. That's what this trade was all about. Beating San Antone.
