Stupid for the Mavs.
Where will they be in a few years without Harris?
Not near the top of the West, thats for sure.

Dallas knew Harris wasn't their guy. Obviously they wouldn't have traded for Kidd if they thought Harris was a big part of their team...

This is a good trade. They're obviously playing for NOW not LATER. The Nets don't have NOW to play for and need to clear cap space. Vinsanity is next. Go New York, Go New York, GO!
Ha....NBA sucks....

damn, the west is loading up on talent.....but I think Dallas gave up too much in order to win now. The Nets hit the jackpot. I wonder which next big name player will be traded this month?

The Nets have Brooklyn in their sights. Their current location, in that shitehole known as The Meadowlands, is not getting them anywhere. There's no use having a good team in a bad location, so they're stocking up for 2010. Good job on their part getting a couple players that, I don't know about the sport, but apparently they'll be good by that time.

"The Nets and Mavs agreed in principle Wednesday to send Jason Kidd to Dallas. But Devean George, one of four players New Jersey would have received in return, unexpectedly exercised his right to block the trade."

What a douche. I'll laugh every time Dallas fans boo his ass out of the arena... who's idea was it to give Devean George a no-trade clause anyways? Not like he's had the type of career deserving of that...

Funniest thing about this for me is not that Devean George blocked the trade, but Devean George had the POWER to block the trade.

What a douche. I'll laugh every time Dallas fans boo his ass out of the arena.. Why would they? Kidd is way past his prime. Harris is a fan favorite in Dallas.

I guess we both missed what happened last night. George goes 0/11 from the field and Dallas is out for his head. Whoever created Devean George's contract is pretty messed up. Elaborate contracts like his are for high power players, not guys you wouldn't even give up your MLE for...

I dont blame him. Who wants to move halfway across the country to a crappy team in order to get paid less?

I dont blame him. Who wants to move halfway across the country to a crappy team in order to get paid less? No one, but the fact that he has that power, is the funny part.
