What is the best baseball game out for the year? I'm going to rent one this weekend and want to know which one I should. MVP 2004, MLB 2005, or ESPN? I'm thinking MVP right now since IGN has rated it the highest.

I think that's what I'm going to rent after reading IGN's reviews of MVP and MLB. It sounds very in-depth.

Well it depends on what you want. MVP has some sweet stuff, like minor league teams and amazing animation. But there is a bug for lefty hitters (not getting enough homers) and player progression (guys in the minors don't progress).
I can't say anything about MLB 2005 or ESPN.
I would suggest renting All Star Baseball 2005 (XBox or PS2). I think it's the most realistic. It's not as flashy as MVP, but there aren't as many bugs. I am having a great time playing it.
Try ASB before making your final decision. ASB and MVP both have pros and cons.
