Unfortunately, Barry Larkin's chances of playing with the Reds next season is extremely slim. The Reds don't have too much interest in him now, and will let two inexperienced players try and fill that big gap left by Larkin.
He was probably the most underrated short stop, but he had a lot of injuries. He hit over .300 in 9 of his 19 seasons, which included streaks of 5 in a row and 9 in 13 years. It looks like he'll end his career short of 200 homeruns. I think he had 197 or 198.
So go ahead and talk about this I guess. I know Nafders wants Larkin to stay, but do any of you other Reds fans (if there are any), want to see him go?

I'm up for the Reds, even as a Cubs fan, but it's sad to see someone I grew up watching leave the game, same with Caminiti, who died last Sunday, someone I grew up watching playing, died, it's just so sad

Woohoo...I'm noticed...you get my vote in the presidential election ;D It does suck to see my favorite player go, but I really hope he retires. He still wants to play and I would be really pissed if he played for a team other than the Reds. The way his career ended kind of sucked. First, the Reds let him become a FA last season before resigning him (I was really scared that he was going to go somewhere else during that time). Then, this season, they bench him for the last month or so of the season. Not cool.

I hated how Emmit Smith got left behind, Tim Brown, and other old NFL legends that got past their prime.

Haha...everybody is running...you get my write in vote. Yay. One less fake account I need to make to steal the election. Whoops. Did I say that out loud.
