Well, it's that time of year again. The Baseball Video Game season is just over a month away with the real season following right on its heels. So, my question, and the question that will probably be asked a lot in the upcomeing weeks, is what game are you getting? I am loyal to MVP baseball, so I will probably be getting it. I'm most excited for the Single A teams. I'm not a person that looks for the most detailed graphics in a sports game. I pick a game based upon how much fun it is to play (gameplay I guess) and how deep the franchise mode is. I spend just as much time, if not more, on manageing my rosters, scouting players, and making trades as I do playing the games. Also, the hitters eye looks like an interesting new feature. I like the fact that you can actually learn from the replays. Last year, I would check the replay after most plays, but it really didn't help me get any better. Anyway, post your thoughts, your game, and why. We need something to hold us over until baseball season.

I have MVP preordered, and just like the rest of the games, mainly because of it'll be what my friends have so we can play online. Last baseball game I owned was World Series 2k2 on dreamcast, so it'll be nice to actually own a baseball game once again. I'm also really looking forward to Rugby 2005 and FIFA Street.

I'll actually be able to get through a whole season..... hopefully I'll be able to find a good difficulty level on this years, i never did on 2004 last year

I wish I could get All-Star Baseball, but they aren't making it this year. I don't know which game I will get, I will wait a week or so after the games come out to read reviews and hear about the games.
My favorite part about ASB was generated counts, which meant you could just start off the count 0-2, 1-1, 3-0, etc. It really added to the realism and made the game more difficult. I loved that feature of the game, and if one of the games has it this year, I might have to get that one, even if it isn't as good. Getting accurate # of walks is a big part of the game.

I agree Stewaat, I wish there was another ASB. I am probably going to get MVP. The owners mode sounds pretty good and the hitters eye sounds cool also.
