ATTN: deadmatt2004- Stealing someone's code is bad

I would like to thank Dylanis over at DM and DC's LjSnUo for alerting me to two seperate events of theft of my code by deadmatt2004. The lineup iFrame he is using on his page is my property, and he's even using my CSS file. There's more than a few relations to my code still left in his ripjob.

Many examples of my HTML work can be found on my DM site. I know some of you guys have issues with DM. I have no problem with you guys, only deadmatt2004, who has twice stolen my code. I would very much like for this to stop.

The first time he stole from me, he took my boxscore which can be found here...

He stole a version before I had changed it to CSS.
Now he has stolen my roster tables (which can be found on my main dynasty page...

In addition to that, he has aslo stolen my CSS file which I use universally with my tables. I have made a few versions of my roster table and boxscore for other people on DM who have asked, and very simply, if he came to me and ASKED, I would have helped him out. But he had to be underhanded and steal THREE different things from me.

I am rather upset about this. If there are any admins or moderators who can do something about deadmatt2004, I would very much appreciate it.

not much that can be done right now. He isn't go to be banned for "stealing". Even if he did steal it there is really no way to prove he did anything wrong.

a) It can be easilly prooved he did something wrong. All you have to do is look at the date of upload of my files., and I'd be very happy to hand those out as proof.

b) Not much can be done, but he took it down once he was caught red handed, so I got something I wanted, even though he still has my stuff.

Hmm... he even uses the CSS class "yanks2" when he's a Giants dynasty? Right...And my lowercase td security measure... hmm...

And he has the GALL to put this at the bottom of his tables: This layout was made by deadmatt and is for deadmatt only!! What nerve.

Anyway, the sudden disappearance of the tables, when confronted, I think more than enough proves that he did something wrong (and that he knows he did), and I have the screenshots of stuff on his host.

Does it matter? Just tell everyone he stole your stuff without asking, and ask them to rate him a 1 until he changes it.

I did that the first time. He had a Red Sox dynasty, was caught, scrapped the dynasty, and started a new one, all of a sudden... no more bad ratings.

If he even came on here and apologized, and promised he wouldn't do it again, I'd be willingto give him another chance and move on, but instead, he just tried to delete everything from his server and said nothing. So now that info is out there for everyone to see.

dude stop griping about it there is nothing anyone can do. If you want him to stop using your stuff talk to him do not come on here and trash him just to get attention. Email him or something.

ahhhhh, yet another topic about me. christ is it that bad that i used a bit of html code??? dont think so!!!

BUT i did steal it from Zephyr which is stealing. I regret it as now i have a bad name around these parts for that. So everything that i had of his is now down the tube and i will never use it again.

I dont care if you rate my dynasty a one because im doing it how I want to do it and thats why i post it here so people can give there views about my dynasty not the way that i set it out with html.


There is though a matter that i would like to ask Zephyr. I wouldnt mind using you boxscore. I know youd probably say no but i will still ask you anyway as it is that greatest html achievement i have ever seen and i simply love it. So if you are willing to let me use it the please reply in this thread.

See, what you guys need to understand is that when you put your work into doing something and then sombody rips it off, it hurts. And I can see, Slammy, that not much of your Bulls site layout was not created by you. (Credit was given, that's great, deadmatt didn't do that) But say you spent days setting up that layout and then, bam. Someone comes by and in five minutes have taken your hard work? I'm sure you wouldn't be so fast to AGREED'D with cooljay.

Also, whenever anybody tells you something can't be done, you go over their head until you find someone that will give you what you seek.

I don't know what crazy world some of you guys live in, but I was taught when I was growing up that if you do something wrong, there will be a punishment. Second chances are given not to those who continue to do wrong, but those that show remorse and acknowledge wrongdoing.

Well, I for one realize what kind of crazy world I live in. Its one where murders, rapists, etc. get second chances all the time. Just turn on the news. People constantly get away with things, look at O.J.

That being said, deadmatt should have asked and given credit first. But making a big to do is not going to accomplish anything,

And the murderers/rapists/etc, that get second chances... they tend to be put in jail first, right? The recieve punishment right (ideally)?
