Yeah, I know this trade is un-realistic, but I want Nomar back badly.
I would trade Edgar Renteria for Nomar, straight up. I'm not sure if it would be accepted, but how does it sound?

It's dumb, not just because it's unrealistic, but because Renteria is youger and better than Nomar.

By 2 years so it's not anything big...Nomar's definitely better all-around and he's a leader, something I have a feeling they're gonna need this season because I honestly don't think Varitek can be a real leader...just my own Yankee-lovin' thoughts.

Umm, Varitek has been the leader for years. The "C" on his chest is just arbitrary. And while I will always have a soft spot for Nomar, he was not a leader. He was not vocal enough. He wanted his privacy, which is his right, but unfortunately, the players thought he would step up. Also, 2 years is quite an age difference, especially when you factor all the injuries Nomar has had. Personally, I say stick with Edgar.

My Yankee loving thoughts tell me that Varitek is a great leader and he prooved it getting up in A-Rod's face last year and firing up his team, which threy rode a very long way. Anyway, Nomar's a cool guy, but I'd rather have Renteria. However, if the game would accept that trade... Hmm... I think they would. Why don't you try to get a package together to get Nomar and keep Renteria?

Well. That'll do it. ^_^
Why didn't you say so? Go get Nomar then, I'm pretty sure the game values Renteria higher than Nomar, and I think Nomar makes more, so they'd probably will willing to part with him.
