I beleive members become biased with their favorite teams, that's why I pick the team i'm most into that's not my favorite team.
Youth, Veterns, Speed, Strength, New Team, Team with a legacy, all depends on what you want.

well, what do u mean by biased? If they live in Boston (me) I will do Boston dynasties because of my knowledge and love for the teams. You live in Oregon, so you would (could be wrong here) do Trailblazers, etc. over another team.

Yea...I don't think the Trailblazers have any fans, I actually forgot they were even a team...no one cares about them.
EDIT: On the topic, just choose a team you're actually gonna stick with....please.

In my personal experiences, I can't get into teams that aren't my favorites. I have failed with multitudes of dynasties because they weren't my favorite team. When working with Detroit teams I know personalities and playing styles and coaching styles, so I can make the dynasty better and more realistic.

I tend to use my favorite team but, once im too accustomed to the schedule it gets boring.I go with teams that need help.So for example in MLB instead of using a top ten rated team use a 20-30 ranked team, if your using MVP.

Why don't you start a dynasty with the BOMBERS. I'm telling you...that site was destined to be number 1.

I normally go with teams that need help. More fun and a challenge. My Patriots are a little change of pace.

I dont like using my favorite teams, since I hear and read alot about them already, its boring to go and write more about a team you already know alot about. But I guess I'm not a reliable source since ive had 4 dyansties but only one was with my favorite team. But look at how far that got (White Sox)
