As the Phillies, anyone suggest who I could trade to get Gathright from the rays? He's in AAA, and I want him to play CF. Everytime I try to trade though, it gets rejected.

I thought it was pretty fair

Mauer is younger and isn't too much worse than Kendall and Dotel sucks for me when I use him, while Nathan is much more consistent, but it's fairer than have the trades these noobs put up

Minnesota would never, ever trade Joe Mauer. He's the future of their franchise, and they figure he's got the ability to become the next Mike Piazza as far as offensive production goes. Joe Nathan also has the stuff to be one of the best closers in the game for the next 5-10 years.

right now i would take nathan over dotel, and mauer over kendall even if it was just for THIS season.........kendall is getting old and deffinently isnt the same player he once was....but than u traded nathan for k-rod u know LAA isnt gonna trade him just for nathan lol.....prolly not for any one other than maybe a Mark Prior, dontrelle willis, or josh beckett.
now as far as STL OAk trade goes i think its fair they wouldve given me Crosby, swisher, and byrnes just for sanders but i couldnt take that much so i just got calero and threw in some salary eaters...........Sanders is rated 85/ cedeno 68/nunez 69 byrnes 78/swisher 54/calero 60 so i thought it was good even though now i realize i may of actually gotten cheated but i got young players so....

Who do you think would make for a good trade from the Rangers to pick up Barry Zito? Apparently, Zito may be leaving in real life and the Rangers are one of those who may suit him so I'm thinking of going along with this. Who do the Rangers have to offer good enough for him?
Note this is MLB 2k5...damn game.

Inter-division trading = bad.
But, probably Nix and some prospects.

Yea I know it is bad...but I saw it on CBS Sportsline and though I thought it was weird, I plan on being the Rangers and definitely wouldn't mind having Zito in the rotation.
I'm also contemplating grabbing Griffey and bringing him over to play DH, keep him from getting hurt on the field.

I mean, Texiera, Blalock, Young, and Soriano are probably all untouchable. Not sure about their prospect situation.

I'm about to start a Brewers dynasty on DC and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on who I could get for Geoff Jenkins. I'm of course looking for someone who's younger, but wouldn't be too unrealistic to trade for. Would it be too unrealistic for me to get someone like Rios from Toronto? Or any young guy who's got a decent arm for right field and is a good contact hitter, since I'd be giving up some offense by trading for him?
Also, would it be unrealistic for me to trade J.J. Hardy (a Top 100 guy) for someone like Victor Martinez or another young catcher?

A couple ideas.
Wily Mo (becomes a beast, but not a great arm). Rios would be a little unrealistic but he's great. Eric Byrnes (LF but still good, kills lefty pitching).
Can't think of any others, but there are quite a few players it the same category.

Byrnes is intriguing, but I think I'd have to give up a minor leaguer just to make it more realistic. My concern with Jenkins is left pitching, since his ratings are only in the mid 50's for power and contact against LHP. I'll take a look at Byrnes' ratings and see if I could pick him up later in the year if Jenkins gets off to a horrible start.
As for Wily Mo, I know he's a beast, but: A. Nafsder would kill me and B. I think it'd be a tad bit unrealistic, unless I gave up someone like Rickie Weeks.

Well Cinci never plays him and he always becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
Also, almost every pitch from a lefty to Byrnes is gone. His hitting zone is practically all red.

I wouldn't find any trade unrealistic if the computer does it. Normally I take someone old and still good, and throw in a prospect who's young with potential. When I do this I just try to fill what I'm lacking.

Good for you, unrealistic, but whatever. People play how they want.
